"Even though the hotel is a bit old and tired (it will close for a year for a very welcome renovation of the 340 rooms and amenities), Eren and his staff made the stay incredibly enjoyable. To improve: blinds are definitely not blackout, which is challenging in spring when the sun is up early, and when your window faces the parking lot with extremely bright floodlights. "Great location right downtown - the building has a lot (A LOT) of security - staying with colleagues who were all on different floors - u cannot access any floor ur not staying on - so to have a work meeting u need to use the lobby (which is great!) or meet I. The lobby and go to a room together (also Don try to avoid this by using the stairs! We got trapped in the stairwells)

"The rooms are very comfortable and very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful restaurant for breakfast and the best thing is that it is located around everything, shopping at Polo Park, excellent restaurants and a movie theatre, not far from the Zoo and many parks. I have stayed there for many years and couldn’t be happier with the location that is close to so many wonderful things to do in Winnipeg and their rates are very reasonable."

"Check in was wonderful and the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean with no odours or lingering scents. Pool was a lot of fun for the kids and the hot tub was great for the adults. The breakfast was fantastic! Everything that was Gluten free was labelled - and they made the eggs and sausage GF - which rarely happens at other hotels. Will definitely look for Best Western first for future travels."
