"The room smelled like mold and cigarettes, and there was dust on the nightstands, which made it feel unclean. I did like the large shower area. I called to request a late checkout and was told it was fine. However, when I returned after breakfast, housekeeping had already stripped the room and removed towels. The front desk said they assumed I had checked out and did nothing to fix it—only apologized—leaving me without basic amenities for my remaining two hours."

"I was there a week. Affordable. Quiet. Very clean. Easy parking. Kitchen. Free laundry. I saw reviews comment on the neighborhood safety. Coming from Chicago I never felt unsafe anywhere in Springfield. There are people walking the streets. Everyone everywhere I went was friendly. There are 4753674 stores from small business to major chains. Cave tours in the area were cool, a number of museums, the zoo. Everything is within 20 minutes. "

"This hotel was nice 20 years ago, but it is really showing it's age. The AC did not work in the room I was given. I let the front desk person know, but it was not dealt with and I was not offered a different room. The hotel is pretty clean, but it is starting to fall apart in places. I could have overlooked some of this, but I was informed on checkout of the $50 fee to park there, which is ridiculous. I could see paying that at the Four Seasons, but this is definitely not the Four Seasons."

"Hot tub broken. Pool a very chilly 72 degrees on my watch, so cold even my kids didn’t want get in, and they are like fish always swimming. Pool room was very dim, every light on the ceiling was out except one in the corner, and then one by the hot tub. Room was in dim basement that smelled odd. Room had several shoddily patched walls, especially in the bathroom where it was cracking open down low. There were a few red spots on the comforter and one red smear on the sheet which was gross....

"Check in was the assistant manager who took 4 phone calls while checking us in, not putting them on hold but full phone calls. Pool had algae and was cold, only hand towels at the pool not full towels, black mold and sitting water puddle on pool deck. Room shower has pink slimy mold as well as black mold. Room had two door locks had been broken into causing sharp metal one of which poked a hole in my husbands shirt. Coffee maker didn’t work. Shower would be extremely hot and switch to extremely...

"Older hotel, room was clean but the beds! Both beds in the room was smaller than a full size bed, lady at the front desk was very nice, other staff was nice and friendly "

"Staff was friendly and helpful when checking in. Room was clean and very quiet all night. Bed was extremely comfy. We were able to park right out near the front entrance. Breakfast in the morning was great. Lots of choices both hot and cold. Highly recommend. "
