"Beautiful hotel with amazing views and a great atmosphere. The property is well maintained and the staff was wonderful. My only concern was the large number of iguanas and the amount of iguana droppings around the grounds. Addressing this issue would make the experience much better. Overall, a lovely stay. The villa was perfect for big family . Have everything and the laundry perfect."

"Our stay at The Captain and the Mermaid was great. Communication with Michael was the best I’ve ever had. He was prompt and very helpful each time. The condo had beautiful views from the windows. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed. So nice to have beach towels and beach chairs. A pool right near us. If you don’t have a car you need to not mind hiking up and down to get to beach. Restaurants near condo were all great. "

"It rained the day we arrived and when we got there, the whole kitchen and living room were flooded and the rug was soaked for the whole 7 day trip so the whole house stunk of mildew the entire trip. We woke up sick every morning from breathing in the nasty air all night. I dont know if someone left the front door open allowing the rain water to come in during the storm but we would’ve enjoyed our trip better if we didn’t get sick every time we were in the house. "Our stay here proved to be a much needed and easy getaway . The units private pool made the whole experience . As much as I can respect traveling families it can sometimes make a shared pool more play than peace . Having your own outdoor space to take a dip made sunbathing as easy as opening the sliding doors and heading out for sun and chillaxing. The location is perfectly tucked within walking distance of Sapphire Beach"
