The staff is absolutely amazing, rooms well maintained, an ideal location, and an almost non-existent noise level all while being priced at an affordable price. I would highly recommend checking out the Steelhead Inn for anyone looking to visit the Erie area.

It’s simple and nice , the bed was super comfy and the heater heated up the room almost instantly . A little tlc would step the place up some, the dresser drawers were rough and sitting crooked, the trim pin the bathroom was poorly put together,

Our room had a horrible smell - a combination of cigarettes and dead fish. We couldn’t open the mini fridge without being hit with the smell of death. The cigarette scent wafted in every time the heat kicked on. We decided to check out early due to the smell. The rooms are great for people going to hunt or fish, but not for a small family.

Paid 380$ for 1 night even with vacancies, looked again it was 59$ for 1 night. Price gouged for the eclipse. Sink was clogged, cable cord was missing. Sheets had black stains on them. Sound of slow dripping water all night. Mattresses were probably 20 years old along with comforters. Staff was friendly and engaging. Needs major renovations. Great location

Decently cheap room for a couple nights, smelled heavily.of smoke and the toilet isn't bolted down securely to the floor. Overall I'd stay here again for the price.

The lady who checked me in was super nice, nut the hitel needs some cosmetic work and the walls r very thin. Outside noise was terrible and i could hear everything in the room beside me.

The bed was comfortable. The location was convenient. It was an old-fashioned motel that still used an actual key for the door. The room and bathroom were also old-fashioned. It was comfortable for the one night I was there.

The rooms were in need of updating. Very noisy!!!! I have stayed there before and it was okay. After this stay will not stay there again. 🙁

Stuck with this as Erie motels set high rates for the weekend. Still came in over $100. Every thing in the room was old and threadbare. Didn’t use old room air condition for fear of getting Legionaire’s disease. I did get a good night’s sleep however and the tv was small but worked. Bathroom was cramped and didn’t use shower. New plumbing fixtures were need as well as new carpeting in room.

Location was the only thing good about this place Bathroom toilet was loose and rocked back and forth, yo couldn’t sit on the toilet and close the door unless you basically sat side ways,TV did not work, room was dirty, Pool was dirty, ice machine didn’t work, furniture in the room was literally peeling apart. We stayed her for years and this year it has really gone downhill

It was a good room for the price but they have a family living in the corner they were up screaming at there kids all night the first night second night they were partying all night very hard to sleep with that much noise

This place wasn't that bad. People have to understand that this isn't a massive chain hotel. It's a motel. It worked amazing and it was in a perfect location. Staff was super friendly and plenty of parking. Sure the room and bathroom were a little smaller, but the AC worked amazing and it was so convenient to everything that Erie has to offer. I would definitely stay again.

This was very nice and clean motel. It would be great for an overnight stop, or short duration casual visit. I had other expectations, and that is my problem not theirs.

Adjoining Rooms
We stayed for 3 nights and did not spend much time in the rooms but they were very comfortable for sleeping. The major plus for us was the 2 rooms adjoined which was great for the family.

Did not live up to the web site. no breakfast, the pool was green, and it says homely features. Little packets of shampoo and a hair dryer the did not work. Overall will not book here again.

Our tiny room was musty dark and damp.The unsupervised kids in the next room stayed up late and loud. The good part was it was close to the beaches and cheap. So we got what we paid for.

Didn't like bathroom way to small you have to sit on the toilet sideways😔...also didn't like they wouldn't give you enough towels... example only 2 towels in room but 5 ppl in room plus you had to use the same towels for the swimming pool....it was a head ache had to take turns getting out of the pool to dry off to get another towel from the office after you turned in the towel just to have a dry towel to take a shower....

Upon arrival I called the number on the door, as the office was locked, to be told that we were already checked in and that the key was in the unlocked room #17. All was as expected, as I never expected a four star for what I paid for the stay. Everything was fine until the evening of our last night. The motel was practically full and the water pressure was indicative of that. That evening arriving back at the room after a lovely dinner we found that our toilet was leaking and the manager and the “handy man” plunged it, after being told that it couldn’t have been plugged up and that before the leak began there was gurgling, used our last clean towel around the base of the toilet. The night got progressively worse, as the aforementioned other guests, namely the couple in #18, as well as the gurgling, kept me awake till after 3:00 am. The location of the motel was great, but will not be staying again.

Disgusting stay and totally unprofessional
I was checked into a room that was already occupied then another room that had no cable for the tv. The last room was ok but the bathroom trim was falling off. A dead bug was hanging from the curtains. The fitted sheet didn’t fit the bed, the carpet was filthy dirty. The Ac barely worked. The next to last day when the staff gave us two new small towels and changed the tiny garbage bag, they left our door OPEN!!!! I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! They are new owners and HORRIBLE! I cancelled my August reservations and going to a new hotel. Oh and the pool was broke! Oh and the front desk is never manned, you have to call the number for someone to come and help you.

This was not a hotel for a woman. This hotel specialized for fishermen. There were no boxes of tissues, their was no hair dryer in the bathroom. The bathroom was very small and no where to put curling iron and makeup stuff. I like an extra towel to for my hair. When asking for an extra towel your room only gets 2 towels. They advertise a pool, it was their but not opened. To use the heat or air conditioning unit you had to stand on a chair to turn it on and or adjust it. The king size bed took up the whole room. My husband uses a CPAP machine and it was difficult to get to an outlet to plug it in.

The room was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in, a little dated, but the cleanliness made up for it.
