Robert was so easy to communicate with and had a WOW response time! At the last minute, we decided to add another night. He was quick to respond, alleviating some stress, and he honored our existing rate.
While I was nervous upon opening the bottom door because of the very old smell in the stairwell, the upstairs apartment was extremely clean and comfortable and had no smell whatsoever. The super sweet housekeeper, who I got to meet after a mishap with the key (and later finding it in the bottom of a takeout bag), had a little foldout bed set up in the sunroom for my 4 year old - that was an unexpected surprise!
The furniture was comfortable, as were the beds. There seemed to be a variety of pillow types so even though we swapped, everyone was happy. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and dishes and the fact that there were waffles, syrup, eggs, OJ, milk and some soda and water was incredible. We got there and were so tired when I realized I forgot to pick up milk ... I almost cried when I opened the fridge and found some waiting for us.
The home is older and could use some cosmetic TLC, but I can't say enough how clean and comfortable it was. My ONLY complaint, and the reason I could not give 5 stars was because of the creaky floors. I have never seen anything like it...literally every single step creaked and LOUDLY! I was horrified at disturbing the downstairs neighbor and my Mom and I woke the other up whenever we had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
I never did figure out all the buttons on the keychain for locking and unlocking with a remote, but I did not read that section of the binder left for renters either. I was impressed at how organized everything was. Robert clearly knows that he is doing and makes an effort for his renters to have a very good experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
OH. And Pineapple Eddie's at the end of the block has amazing food! We ordered takeout on Saturday and were so disappointed when they were closed on Sunday.
