"Conveniently situated & serves the one of the best breakfasts in all of the travelling we’ve done over the years throughout the UK. The owner-hosts were very helpful & genuinely friendly without being imposing. Only one minor criticism of the room in that I found one of my pillows was flat & the other like having my head on a rock. "Room and bed comfortable, walk in shower, table top ironing board and iron were very useful prior to a family wedding.
Green table cafe on site is really good. Also The White Hart provided hotel breakfasts.
Staircases were a little fusty with an odd air freshener to compensate. Its an old listed building so to be expected but might smell fresher if the stair carpets were steam cleaned and better air fresheners.
