The Barefoot Bungalow

Open your front door to find a beautiful white sand beach with warm, gulf coast waters waiting for you. The sunsets are unbelievable! This unique property has access to gulf coast beaches on one side and placid bay water on the other. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming and free dock slips. 

The Barefoot Bungalow is easy walking distance to great beachfront restaurants with live music most every night. Yet, you are far enough away to enjoy tranquility hearing nothing but the sound of waves.

Loved our stay at The Barefoot Bungalow!! Pat and Jack were great. It was such a pleasure to be able to meet them during our stay after reporting to them of a broken window blind. Quick response and repair. Such a nice little condo right on the beach.

Mrs. Fuhrmann is very friendly and informative. She has been extremely helpful answering all of my questions and helping me get through the process of booking my vacation and actually calling me to insure that all went well. I love everything about the accommodations it is so peaceful and the ocean and beautiful sunsets are unforgettable.

We had an amazing visit in this unit! It was perfect for two people. We loved being right on the beach. Sunsets were beautiful. Most everything we needed for the week was right there. Nice selection of items in the kitchen and beach items right in the condo. Loved it so much we’ve booked for 2026! The only blemish during the week was confusion over parking spots and being accosted by the upstairs unit owner, Just a very rude and unpleasant man!

Before we arrived my wife and I said "No matter what this place is lije we are going to enjoy itc. Boy! We were EXCITED! We walked in and it was Breathtaking. I actually cried because it was so spotless, clean, beachy, stocked with most everything you could ever want. Go to store for food. There were condiments, plates, cups, dishes. Literally just bring you! The price was so low we will definately help book for them all our friends. Ok so, walk onto the porch, step 1 step onto the sand, go 80 feet to the beach and let the waves crash upon the beach. We have stayed many places, never this nice. Never this stocked, never this affordable. Spoke with Pat the owner yesterday to let her know how it was and she knew we would live it. The beach, the pool,the fishing docks, the neighbors, the parking. All perfect!

Absolutely amazing! We have stayed here for 2 years and love it! We were married right outside our door this year with the most beautiful backdrop! Jack and Pat are the perfect hosts! All you need for a trip here is your swimsuit!

Cute condo directly on the beach! The owners were very kind and responsive. The condo has everything you need, kitchen supplies, beach supplies, etc. The porch is shared but it wasn’t an issue, the neighbors were kind. Walking distance to restaurants, there is also free golf cart shuttle in town (tips encouraged).

Perfect Stay!

This was our third stay here and we absolutely love it. You could not ask for better accommodations. You can read my previous reviews for more details… everything about this condo is perfect. Can’t wait for next year!

We loved our stay! The property was cute and well-kept. The location was perfect! The beach was so close that it was easy to return for a break in the shade on the rocking chairs on the veranda (if you choose not to use the beach umbrella that is provided and worked well, too!). When it was quiet inside, you could still hear the waves. The private beach never felt full, although there were more people there from mid-morning to late afternoon (in early June). The sunsets were beautiful! As was the moon over the ocean. I was hoping to find some nice shells and shark teeth, and I was able to do both! The outdoor shower was great for removing sand after being on the beach. We walked over to the bay a couple of mornings and sat on a bench there. The first day we saw 3 manatees up close! The pool looked beautiful, but we never used it. The grill was just behind our building, along with a nice picnic table. It worked well and allowed us to enjoy some easy meals at home. The galley kitchen could be tricky for 2 people at once, but it worked. The king bed was comfortable. The living room space was nice. We didn't use the pullout bed. The dining table is set up right in front of the window, so we could look out over the ocean for every meal! It was the perfect place for relaxing! Also, Pat was a welcoming host in all of our online communication. She was quick to answer my questions. We have never been beach people, but this changed that. We would love to come back!

What a view

The view is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed our short stay and will be back. Previous renters left food behind so we did the same. This place was pretty stocked down to the sunscreen and burn spray. We used the sand rake and sifted tons of sharks teeth.
