A great stay
We had a great tay for five weeks and especially enjoyed the pleasant neighborhood and convenient location to the center of Encinitas. The 2 mile Encinitas Ranch walking trail located at the top of the street was an added bonus, with a great vista to the East.

Lovely beach home in a family area
We loved our stay! Perfect size for us and our two dogs (the all laminate floors were easy to keep clean). House was immaculate and well stocked. We used the BBQ and the back patio every day (appreciated the "dog station" with potty bags, balls and other toys). Nice quiet street with couples and families walking their dogs to the trail at the top of the street. Did not hear/see the neighbor on the other side of the unit. Mornings were cool, and it warmed up in the afternoon, however we were able to cool the place nicely with the ceiling fans. One improvement: a true metal screen door that closes shut - the current wood door and soft screen hooks from inside and did not always stay closed. Looking forward to booking again!

Great Little Getaway Home in Encinitas!
Thus home was perfect for my family of 4. Lots of ammenities including beach gear. The kitchen had new appliances and everything was clean and tidy. I would highly recommend tgis location!

Great Location in Ecinitas!
This was a great property. The back patio space was lovely! Everything was very clean, and the owner was very easy to communicate with throughout the process. The house is located less than a mile from the San Deigo Botanical Gardens which was amazing!

Quiet, beautiful home
The home looks newly remodeled and it is clean and beautiful! There are orange trees in the backyard that smell heavenly too. It is also close to a walking path for my dog. A++

Good location
The beds are comfy and the kitchen is well appointed. Too bad the bathroom has no shampoo, body wash, etc. Also the loud bathroom fan is linked to the light which makes a lot of noise in the house when it runs. The house had many cobwebs, dust, spiders, and some popcorn left on the kitchen floor so attention to cleaning wasn’t made for our stay.

This cozy cottage was perfect for our stay in Encinitas. It is conveniently located to all the best shopping and restaurants and blocks away from a walking trail to take your furry family members. Our two dogs loved their daily walks.

Lovely place. We would come back!
Property was clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of clean bathroom and beach towels. We much enjoyed our stay. Couple of items need to be addressed: Although the inventory stated 4 beach chairs, there were only 3 and one was broken beyond repair. Kitchen frying pans need to be replaced. The burners on the BBQ are completely rusted over. This BBQ needs to be replaced.

Okay property, but management and communication need improvement
We arrived to find the cleaning lady having just started cleaning, after we had arranged the arrival time with the owner well in advance. Apparently she had never bothered to communicate this to the cleaning lady, so we had to conduct a 4-way powwow with the cleaning lady, owner, and her daughter, then wait around for 3 hours after a cross country trip while the unit was cleaned. Cleanliness was okay but the corners and behind furnishings were quite dingy. We chalked it up to the cleaning lady being rushed by our unexpected arrival. The beach gear was great (but some of it is in need of replacement). One of the smoke/carbon monoxide detectors was missing and we had to replace the batteries in another one for it to function properly. In addition, the situation in the converted garage is not really explained well in the listing. Because the water heater is also in the garage, you have to keep the back door open at all times to vent potential carbon monoxide buildup. This seems like a otential safety hazard and should be disclosed in the listing. Kitchenware could use improvement. There was only one sautee pan and it was missing a handle. The owner hit us with an extra cleaning charge after we left with a note "extra cleaning time and dog feces in the backyard". The extra cleaning time was understandable as we were there for 4 weeks, but we didn't end up bringing our dogs so if there was dog feces in the backyard, it wasn't from us. In addition, the cleaning lady sent us a nasty-toned text message after we departed complaining about the extra time it took to clean. This is in spite of the fact that we did everything required in the checkout manual and then some. Plus, we left some extra money for her in recognition of the extra time it would take to clean the unit after our long stay. Owner didn't even try to discuss it with us or get our side of the situation before hitting us with the extra charge, which just capped off the trend of poor communication. All in all, an okay place, but owner needs to tighten up the operation to bring it up a notch.

Well equipped with beach stuff and children/baby stuff. We had a little problem checking in but we take some responsibility for that because we didn’t try and get the code until we got in town. Thank you for making or stay in San Diego enjoyable!

Wonderful property
This property is very very nice. It beats a hotel room hands down. A state beach is just down the street. I-5 is just down the street. Not far from San Diego. But Encinitas is a fun little coastal town. We had a wonderful California trip. All the house instructions are provided. The owners have beach stuff to use. The place was clean and quiet and we all absolutely loved our time there.

Wonderful stay in quiet family/dog friendly neighborhood
We had the best time here during our 4 night stay over the holiday weekend. This house has all the amenities you would need for an entire family and is super dog friendly which made it feel like A perfect home away from home for a few days. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookware for you to be able to make any meals on the property. The outside shed has a washer dryer and all the beach equipment you would need. Our family and dog took full advantage of the outdoor shower to rinse off after beach days. The house is located close by to trails that are convenient for a family with dogs to spend some time on the trail. We loved this location so much we have booked our next stay here again! Look forward to coming back

Very Family Friendly
The family friendly amenities were great! Toys and books and balls, plus a pack n play and a high chair all made life super easy. Plus laundry and beach toys! This definitely cut down on packing. Make sure you receive the check in instructions before arriving. I did not. But the property manager was quick to respond. And bring your own coffee!

Nice place, great location
Dis a 60-Day stay. It's private, cozy with definite beach vibe. Centralized with everything in Encinitas. Close to I-5 and 101 but not close enough to hear any traffic. Easy, driveway parking. Good for a couple or smaller family/group. Owners were nice, and super-responsive handling anything. Newer appliances. 100 feet from local hiking/dog walking trail network. Stores and restaurants convenient too.

The house is just adorable. The location was really close to the soccer tournament I was attending. My only complaint was the house was a little dusty and the stove was really greasy!! I had to sweep the floors and dust before I felt comfortable being there. Otherwise the house is really a nice house. Centrally located. Close to Moonlight Beach and not to far from San Diego.

HOUSE IS BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED AND WELL EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED. BACK YARD HAS AMPLE SPACE FOR MY POOCH BUT SHE DIDN'T LIKE WALKING ON THE ROCKS. GREAT FAMILY NEIGHBORHOOD. Very nice, clean two bedroom house with extra room in converted garage if needed. We really enjoyed the patio and so did our pets. The neighborhood is very quiet and there is an easy to hike loop trail, 1/2 block from the house.

I cannot complain about this property. I have rented other properties before and one of my complaints is that there is never enough kitchen amenities (ex: pots, pans, plates, knives, etc.) but this property was stacked. It was great, they had all the cooking items you need to make and eat a home cooked meal just like at home.

Fantastic neighborhood & great home
Loved our stay in Encinitas. This was a perfect house and location for a family road trip with my sister, brother-in-law, and dog baby. Becky was very responsive. Neighborhood couldn’t have been better. So quiet and still close enough to get down to the beach. Has a great yard which we took advantage of in the evenings and even barbecued. Enjoyed sitting out front too waving to folks as they walked by. Highly recommend.

Great family friendly house!
We had a great experience! The house was spotlessly clean and worked really great for our family. The beds are very comfortable and the converted garage/playroom was great for the kids. We spent 4 weeks at the vacation house and whenever there was an issue (e.g. a broken dishwasher), it was promptly addressed and fixed. Thanks Al :-)! We absolutely recommend this vacation house and will definitely be back!

Excellent rental in Encinitas!!!
We loved staying at this lovely home!! Everything was exactly as described and very clean and comfortable. The special touches like the super-soft, plush towels did not go unnoticed! Perfect Beach Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. It's super comfy, well equipped, filled with all the amenities, and beautifully decorated. A short drive down the hill to the beach and many surf breaks, the cute town of Encinitas, and close to all the stores you need. GREAT communication with the host and we can't wait to come back!

Relaxing Staycation
My husband and I, and our dog, decided to have a staycation for our anniversary week. House was clean and there was plenty of towels, linens, and even dog toys for our pup! Friendly neighborhood. Loved the trail. We spent everyday walking the trail and there were doggie bags provided on the trail in case you forgot to bring some. One thing to note, the backyard is filled with crushed rock instead of grass or turf. If you have a dog who has sensitive paw pads, like ours, keep that in mind. We only played in the patio, as our pup wasn't a fan of the rocks. Other than that, we had a very relaxing anniversary week!

Great property!
We were visiting family in the San Diego area and this property was perfect for 5 adults. There was plenty of space for all of us and great amenities! We especially enjoyed the patio out back. Very nice and safe neighborhood, close to restaurants, and a short drive to the beach!

Pleasant Stay
Becky was very attentive and easy to contact. The property was very clean and well renovated. Very cozy home and organized. There are many signs around the house that clearly states directions for almost everything, from the TV to the bathroom to the laundry room, everything is easy to figure out. The location is close to many stores and a short drive to great places in North County SD. I would definitely stay here again!
