"This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...

"The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. "

"Went here for a romantic getaway and it delivered! We had an ocean view room and slept with the door open to the patio all night. We could see the views right from the bed! A wonderful way to wake up in the morning. Refreshed! We got to sleep listening to the animals and the ocean waves. It was phenomenal! We used the fireplace one night as well and loved it! They have social hour with a couple free drinks right out on the courtyard facing the ocean during sunset and that was lovely too! Beds...

"This property is very dated. The grounds are nice. Our room had a fireplace and the minute we opened the door the smell of smoke was all consuming. I’m not sure what wood they use in the fireplaces, but it had a very odd smell that was overwhelming. The room was clean, and very large. We appreciated that part. We also loved the fact that we could open the sliding glass door to the garden area to circulate some fresh air. I have a feeling that this place was probably top notch when it was...

"Went there for the last part of our vacation and no regrets. We ended our vacation in a great style! The setting is beautiful, breathtaking. The service was fantastic. "4/5 rating. This place is absolutely amazing! Only points taken away for is parking lot, very tight and small so if there 2 or more cars it’s hard to get out of. And then the only other point taken away is the balcony, although it is gorgeous views and vibes, anybody can just walk up it so just be cautious and lock the sliding door. The lady in the front was amazing and helpful. The room was super clean and better than the pictures!"

"We booked the "Beachy" unit in this home, but were given the smaller "Peaceful" unit on arrival. That left us with a single bed for four people. Two of us had to sleep on the floor (Pacifica was booked up for an archery event). We contacted the host, and they were willing to cancel the second night, but we were left with the full first night for a more expensive unit and a host fee that was higher than the cost of the room. The host blamed Expedia/Hotels.com for the mistake, but neither is...
