Amazing girls weekend
The place was extremely clean with plenty of supplies including lots of linens and kitchen tools. We had a rainy weekend and had to stay in a lot but it was very comfortable even with 4 women and the occasional visitors.

All the Outdoor Fun Maine Has to Offer in One Cozy Camp
This is a beautiful camp and one of the most beautiful properties on Beech Hill Pond. You really couldn't ask for more in outdoor entertainment than this camp offers from the beautiful anchored and floating docks to the generous sandy lake access for swimming and easy in/out for the kayaks/canoe. We so enjoyed the scenic fire pit area and sprawling back deck with wonderful views of the lake and the loons that like to perch out front. Indoors, while compact, is comfortable and cozy and beautifully appointed with the best stocked kitchen we've ever had in a rental of any size. And if you are looking for more to see and do - the camp is less than an hour to Acadia, Camden and other gorgeous locations on the coast in Down East Maine. Josh was a warm and welcoming host and replied quickly to any inquiries we had. We had a wonderful time and really look forward to returning some day.

Family vacation
Upon arrival the house was spotless clean and absolutely beautiful. The owners really did think of everything we might have needed. We packed way to much stuff :) We loved the welcome basket (Thank you!) The lake was so clear and warm. We had a great time swimming, kayaking and using the paddle board. We will definitely be back.

Third time’s a charm!
This was the 3rd time we stayed at one of Josh’s lakeside properties - for good reasons. Everything about this lake, house, property, and amenities made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Every detail is thought of and executed extremely well. Looking forward to our 4th visit!

Great lakeside vacation
This property was very clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable vacation lakeside. The cabin fit our family of 5 comfortably and we enjoyed being in the clean lake every day. The kitchen was outfitted very well, I was surprised that I didnt need to use items I packed because they were already there. We loved going for a jog or walk and playing on the paddle board or kayaks. We even went into bar habor twice for exploring. It was a wonderful stay!

We’ll be back
Perfection for our first family trip to Maine! We loved the house’s comfy layout, generous kitchen and spectacular views. On-site laundry was so needed and appreciated. We were welcomed with a sweet welcome basket of goodies. We used the kayaks and swam in the cool lake water every day. Just a short drive to Ellsworth for any necessities and excellent ice cream. About an hour to Acadia for the day was amazing, but we really just wanted more time at the cabin. The loons at sunset and sunrise were peaceful and entertaining for the long summer days - and a supreme view of sunrise is worth celebrating. Can’t wait to come back! Not an issue, but worth noting that the GPS located us about 1/2 mile short, but the just followed the house numbers and made it perfectly.

Great Cabin
We had a lovely time at the cabin. The whole place was clean and the outdoor space was especially amazing. We loved the lake and got great use out of the kayaks and fire pit. It was a bit tight to have adults sleeping in the loft - the beds weren’t super stable and voices echoed from up there. But I would be careful with children on the ladder to the loft as it is fairly tall and steep. The sun rises early in Maine in the summer and there aren’t any curtains in the loft, so be ready for an early rise. We had great weather so were able to spend a good amount of our time outside. We grilled and ate most of our meals on the deck, which has great views of the lake. The inside is a bit on the small side, so it was great to have all the extra space on the deck, backyard, and dock to spread out. The cabin is about 45 min to an hour from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, so we were able to visit the park one day and go into town for dinner. Both places were really special and I would recommend! Overall, we had an excellent time and really enjoyed the beauty of Maine and the cabin.

Cozy little cabin
The cabin was just as described. Such a cute little place to stay. The kitchen had everything that we needed! There was a lovely arrival gift that unfortunately we didn’t get to use because we were too tired after hiking Acadia. We traveled with 2 young boys, and they were exhausted! Cabin is located a hour away from Acadia, no issues getting to or from. The cabin is located on a very bumpy narrow dirt road. Not a complaint, just a heads up. We had to contact the owner once for an alarm that was going off, but he was super nice, reached right back out to me and handle the situation. I will recommend this cabin to anyone heading up toward Acadia who wants to stay off the beaten path. Do better than we did though, purchase food to cook at home. It is 30 minutes to get to town for food. Pond is absolutely beautiful and clear! Too cold for us to go into, but loved looking at it during the day. I can’t say enough wonderful things. Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin. We had a great time.

Great place for a vacation

Serenity on a beautiful lakefront property
Upon arrival it is immediately apparent why Josh G. is a Premier Host. A welcome gift of s'mores fixins and local beverages was available for our enjoyment. The cabin was very clean. A prerfect get-away for a family of 4-6. The home is within 45min - 1 hr drive of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We mostly enjoyed the serenity of the lake, and were very appreciative of the kayaks and canoes Josh provided for our enjoyment. A pristine lake, magnificent sunrises and sunsets- perfect for a relaxing family getaway.

Amazing Unplugged Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed this property for a week. The cabin meets all your needs and the location is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed spectacular sunrises, watching the loons, fishing, water sports, and mostly the QUIET. Highly recommend- best sleep I've had in a while!

Great Family Get Away
Cabin was great! Fire pit next the lake in the evenings were great after hikes in Acadia NP to end the day. Kayaks are great to adventure around the lake and explore. Josh was great for anything we needed and had someone bring items to us. About 45-55 minute drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Great vacation
Our family of 4 had a great week at the lake house for our August vacation. All the amenities were as expected, the lake house and grounds were clean and well-maintained. Our daughters (10, 13) enjoyed the loft sleeping arrangements and their private space. The variety of kayaks and paddle boards met all our needs and were greatly appreciated to avoid rentals and arranging transportation. Josh was super quick to reply to our questions and helped us get out of a bind with our vehicle too. Highly recommend this rental and property owner.

Perfect lake location
Everything that could be done to make you comfortable has been done. Kayaks, canoe, paddleboard, dock, easy water entry, water cooler, heat and ac, laundry shed, goodies from host much apprecisted. Loons every day and night, hummingbirds, fishing from dock. Immaculately kept and nice touches for comfort. Great deck and fire ring. Only down side is road coming in...not uncommon in maine, dirt road. Be sure to come in from Ellswoth, only 2mi vs 7mi from other side. Acadia not far but about an hour drive from cabin. Neighbors a bit close, but wasnt an issue. Really this is an amaxing rental.

Easy paddling!
Perfect for our cut throat cribbage matches with a bottle of wine! We also appreciated the air conditioning fir two hot days and the many movie choices for the rainy days. Learned about the remoteness of Otis . Which I’ve never toured. I read others took the time to travel to blue hill and parks. We opted for paddle boarding and swimming and observing the duck families and the amazing loons. Thank you for the relaxing week away!

Great cabin
Although it was smaller than it appeared in the pictures, it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The place was super clean: the beds/pillows were comfy and the sheets and comforters seemed brand new. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. There was a nice sized tv with satellite and also wifi. The gas grill was a Weber Spirit... and there was plenty of gas. The huge deck had plenty of seating and was perfect for looking out over the lake. We got to enjoy the fire pit and wood was provided. We were able to use the kayaks and paddleboard, which was a nice perk. There are neighbors on each side, not super close, but able to be seen from the deck. It's only minutes from Ellsworth and about an hour from Acadia. Overall, a really nice place to relax.

Wonderful, Quiet Cabin on a Lake
This lovely cabin is perfect for a couple or small family. You cannot beat the proximity to the lake as it is just steps outside your door with a lovely little beach area (they even brought in sand while we were there), and clear, clean water to swim in. The kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe are all appreciated as well. The kitchen is well stocked (& I'm a pretty serious cook), and the cabin is clean and comfortable including clean beds, lots of storage for clothes in each room, and again that view of the lake! Josh, the manager, was great, and we appreciated the little touches like s'mores supplies, fluffy beach towels, an extra propane tank for the grill, wood, and laundry detergent. For a pet-friendly cabin on a lake, it's a great deal.

Great family spot
The property was great and was filled with thoughtful amenities and we loved using the kayaks and paddleboards. The fire pit was a great spot for the end of the day. The property is about an hours distance from Acadia National Park but was the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking and the bustle of Bar Harbor.

Peaceful Getaway
This house was perfect for us. It was a girls vacation with for adults and 1 teenager. The house was cute and cozy and accurate to everything that was described on the website. We took advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards and the fire pit. The lake was so beautiful and clear and had minimal traffic. We spent most of our time driving back and forth to the Bar Harbor/Acadia park area, which took a little under and hour. We loved the delicious restaurants along the way. We got our groceries in Ellsworth which is about 20-25 minutes from the VRBO. The property manager was quick to respond when needed (which was just minor things). We would recommend this to families or a small groups of friends.

A much needed getaway
After all our vacation plans for 2020 were cancelled we were happy to be going anywhere! But Maine and this cabin definitely exceeded our expectations and we'll be coming back. It was very clean and comfortable, well stocked kitchen, dog and kid friendly, and the lake view made every day special. We especially enjoyed using the pontoon boat to cruise around and fish. Thanks for a well-needed break!

A beautiful spot
We rented this property for two weeks. We would probably not rent this particular unit again only because the inside was small for our family(two adults and three teenagers). The weather during our stay cooperated well and we spent most of our time outside. It is an absolutely wonderful spot on the water. The deck, fire pit area, dock, swim dock all contributed greatly to the relaxation and fun that we all experienced. Everything was as advertised. No surprises. Large variety of fun water “toys” — two paddle boards, (a very tippy) canoe and kayaks. A truly awesome get away !

Amazing spot on the lake!
We absolutely loved our week on the lake... Our only regret was not staying for 2 weeks. The cottage had everything from a canoe, to paddle boards, to cayaks... And the lake had tones to explore. We also spent a couple days in Acadia and Bar Harbor which are beautiful. Our host Josh was great and able to answer all of our questions. I can't recommend this place enough.

My family enjoyed staying at this location immensely! A great balance of relaxation and activities. I recommend getting a boat with the property, as the kids will want to go to the jumping rock, or the beach, or go fishing every day. Day trips to Acadia are easy and highly recommended as well.

Pond is crystal clear. Little beach provided fun for our daughter and dog, and the paddle boards, kayak, and canoe were awesome to have. Air conditioning in camp was greatly appreciated as we had a hot weather week. The wide, private beach across the pond is not to be missed, so rent a boat or canoe over there. The dusty dirt road around pond is a little annoying, so plan your days so you don't have to go out too many times. We went to Acadia 3 times and it wasn't too bad a drive.

Amazing Lakeside Cabin
This cabin was the perfect getaway for our family. It has all the amenities you could ask for in an incredible location on Beech Hill Pond. We rented a boat and kept it on the brand new dock which made exploring the lake and fishing very convenient. Paddleboards, kayaks, and canoe were also a big hit with everyone. We also enjoyed the fire pit area immensely after a long day on the lake. Even on a rainy day, the cabin has everything you could ask for and more. Our kids had an absolute blast sleeping in the loft area. Josh (the owner) was available for any questions and did everything possible to make our stay very pleasurable. Overall, a fantastic time was had by all and we plan to return again next summer.

Hiking trip with the pup
The house is a quaint mountain cabin with all new appliances and a very comfortable living room. The house got a lot of great natural light and being so close to the lake was amazing. We would sit out on the porch and watch the sunset from the deck every night. The lake got pretty warm during the day for swimming and it was great to have the kayaks and paddle boards as an additional activity. One thing to note, there are neighbors on each side of the house, so you’ll need to keep an eye out that you dog doesn’t wander onto their properties. We were nervous that the house was too far from Acadia National Park, but it was a super easy drive and the park is dog friendly so we got to take our dog around all the trails. The property owner was very responsive. Thank you Josh and team for a wonderful stay!

Peak Relaxation
This property was the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. Everything you could possibly need was provided, including kayaks and paddle boards! From swimming in the lake to sitting around the campfire (wood provided), you could not ask for a better getaway for a family. FYI the road along the lake is not paved, but our Subaru Forester was able to handle it without a problem. Also Bar Harbor is about 40 minutes from the property, but we enjoyed the distance from the crowds and tourist scene. We did our grocery shopping and even got take-out from restaurants in Ellsworth, which has the cutest Main St. and deserves to be explored! Josh was the best and was super responsive, he really wants to make sure you have a great stay. Would definitely make a return trip!
