Welcome to The Back Porch, a modern cabin in Ellijay's gated Coosawattee River Resort. Enjoy 2 large scenic porches perfect for relaxing or entertaining, a hot tub, gas grill, in & outdoor fireplaces, BYOB wet bar, smart TV's and even a dedicated work space. Spread out and sleep comfortably with 5 beds, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen equipped with all cooking and grilling needs! Located in the heart of Ellijay and 30 min from DT Blue Ridge, we specialize in family, couples and small group retreats!

Main level:
The main level boasts a spacious kitchen and living area with vaulted ceilings, insulated windows and porch access from every room, comfortable furnishings, a breakfast nook, gas fireplace, gas grill, multiple TV's and a beautiful open-concept kitchen with island seating, perfect for hosting.

Our ready to cook in kitchen is equipped with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, microwave, gas cooktop & oven, farmhouse sink, coffee maker, plates/bowls, glassware and all the tools needed to cook just about any meal!

We provide a welcome basket with a few essential starter items, including paper goods and toilet paper, to help you settle in comfortably. For longer stays, we recommend bringing additional supplies to last the duration of your visit.

On the main level you will also find a master king suite with double door porch access, a dresser, Smart TV, alarm clock, a private bathroom with dual vanities, large walk in-shower, hair dryer, ironing board and hand-held steamer located in the walk in closet.

There is also a second bedroom with a queen-sized bed, double door porch access, dresser, desk, Smart TV, alarm clock, private bathroom with gorgeous walk in shower, and a Pack 'N Play and high chair stored in the closet.

In addition to these interior spaces, you must enjoy the exterior that each of these rooms lead to! Sip your morning coffee, enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining table, watch a movie under the stars in front of a crackling fire, play a board game, or just relax and take in the woodsy air with yoga or meditation!

Lower level:
The lower level greets you with a BYOB wet bar, perfect for chilling beverages and serving snacks of your choice for the "game porch" right outside! Take advantage of ample seating, enjoy a soak in the 6 person hot tub, play corn hole, roast marshmallows at the firepit out back, or just watch a game in front of the 2nd outdoor fireplace! There's plenty of options!

As for the professionals and extended stayers, take advantage of a comfortable workspace right below the staircase. Desk, task lamp, an extra monitor and adapter provided.

The lower level also provides a separate bathroom with a shower/tub, bedroom, queen bed, dresser, alarm clock and bunk bed for additional guests or littles.

The washer, dryer and basic cleaning supplies are also conveniently located on this floor.

Please note there are multiple entrances to the gated Coosawattee River Resort. At the time of booking, you will be asked to provide names of all guests 16 years of age or older for gate entry. Instructions will be sent before check in. Be careful as you drive in, as the roads are windy and you will want to be watchful of wildlife and appreciate the flowing river as you pull up to the paved driveway at The Back Porch! A smart lock code will be provided and you will have access to the entire cabin with the exception of owners closet. The driveway can accomodate up to 5 cars, no street parking allowed.

The Back Porch is located in the gated Coossawattee River Resort, minutes from East Ellijay and the beautiful Carters Lake in a quaint, friendly and relaxed mountain town in North Georgia.

There are several scenic entrance and exit points of The Coosawattee River resort and minutes from local coffee, shopping, restaurants, apple orchards, attractions, wineries and breweries. A convenient 30 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge, 2 hours from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and about an hour and a half from Chattanooga Airport!

This is a newly built cabin and the hosts wish to maintain the quality and integrity of the property by offering a PET-FREE and SMOKE-FREE environment, which includes the use of all tobacco, vapes and e-cigarettes.

With The Back Porch being located in a gated community, it is common that it is the permanent home of many neighbors. We ask that you respect the surrounding area and also understand that there may be uncontrollable aspects of the property or mountains that occur. We graciously ask that you embrace the potential quirks of mountain living and weather while safely enjoying your stay!

We welcome families with children of all ages! 1 Pack 'N Play and high chair are included. However, this cabin is not childproof. There are multiple levels, fireplaces, a hot tub, stairs, balconies and other interior/exterior common areas that could be dangerous. Children must be supervised at all times and should never be left unattended (always with adult supervision) in and outside the cabin.

Resort amenities are available upon request for a fee. Amenities include 1 indoor heated swimming pool, 1 outdoor swimming pool, tennis, mini-golf, a game room and fitness center. The resort also has river access for fishing, tubing, kayaking or canoeing and there are nearby rental companies to rent equipment from. If guest passes were provided, be sure to replace passes to top right drawer of island. **If the guest passes are not left at the property we will charge a $100 dollar fine to replace.**

Necessary cleaning items such as vacuum, broom and dust pan are available in utility room but professional cleaning is provided upon departure. Upon checkout, please be sure to check for all belongings as the hosts and cleaning crew are not responsible for locating or returning missing items.

Firewood for outdoor fireplaces is not provided but may be leftover from previous guests. If not, can be purchased at any of the local grocery, convenience or hardware stores. Fireplaces and fire pit must always be attended and extinguished before leaving the area.

Please be aware that even though pest control treats the property, you are likely to see insects during your stay. Please do your best to keep them out of the cabin by keeping all windows and doors shut at all times and keep the trash in the trashcan, with closure. We recommend bringing insect repellent.

To respect guests who are checking out and our cleaners' schedules, last minute/same day check-in's may be subject to a later check-in time of 7 PM.
