This place felt like home. It’s a very comfortable house in a spectacular setting. We were blown away by the beautiful fall colors and the landscape that greeted us. The house has everything you need, plus a generous supply of snacks, for a happy, home-like stay. We recommend this home to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay while visiting the gorgeous Shenandoah National Park.

The home was perfect for our trip to the Shenandoah. Our group of 3 couples were very comfortable. Beds are super comfy and house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Views are amazing and a beautiful sunrise view every morning as it come up over the mountains. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Stay

We had a fantastic stay at this property. Easy to check in, amazing views, and good location. Easy to get to the nearby town, wineries, breweries, and hiking trails. Highly recommend this property.

Great property

Stayed here during JMU graduation weekend. Fa enough out of town to escape the crowds but close enough for quick travel. Fantastic property. Perfectly clean with good amenities. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views

This house was a 15 minute drive to a Shenandoah National Park entrance. It had nice restaurants nearby. The property itself is amazing. It is hidden and private with a huge yard and a firepit. The house included everything we needed.

Spacious, private, well appointed

Very roomy. Excellent layout. Homey, yet up-to-date. Close to the park and to restaurants. We enjoyed the firepit and the view of the mountains from the quiet, private yard. We were very pleased and highly recommend this VRBO.

Fabulous home

We had a great time in this beautiful and cozy home, kids loved the backyard and swing. Very clean and well kept home. Also the kitchen was well stocked. The house was quite spacious for party of 4. I'd highly recommended this home if you are visiting Luray or Shenandoah national park.

Terrific home

We had a very enjoyable stay at this home in Elkton. Can not say enough good things about it. Our host went out of his way to accommodate us when we asked for a different bed to suit our needs. Who does that?!! Everything about it was great - nicely decorated, very clean, fully stocked kitchen. Just so very comfortable! We hope to make this a yearly gathering for as long as we can!

Family Vacation in Shenandoah

We had a wonderful family time in this house that is spacious, and well decorated/furnitured. The house is well maintained with a well equipped and layout kitchen that is really great for family to cool and dine together. It has three bedrooms and reading and coffee rooms for good resting and reading. It is a good place to enjoy birds and spring winds as well as gazing stars in the evening. A short drive will get to Shenandoah national park.

A pleasant experience

Piece of peace

The home listed offered us a home away from our home. Thoughtful amenities abound the house and really offered us a peaceful time. Kids (two teenagers and a preteen) enjoyed the swing, the backyard view of the mountains and the excursions to Shenandoah national park. The house comfortably accommodated our family of six. Would definitely try to revisit on a return trip.

Amazing property!

This property is one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in! It was well stocked in bathrooms and kitchen. It’s roomy, which allowed us to spread out at the end of a long day of adventuring. The beds are super comfortable! The home appears to be an older brick farmhouse and the interior is an eclectic mixed of traditional, mid century modern and farmhouse. It is plopped in the middle of a cornfield and the surrounding property was full of wildlife. The location was very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and the park. We highly recommend this property and would stay here again without hesitation!

Wonderful Home!

We loved the fact that this home was only about a 12 minute drive to one of the 4 entrances to Shenandoah National Park. We went into the park 4 different times, including a sunset viewing the last night of our stay, which was awesome. Home was very clean and lovely. Our family said it was one of the best VRBO's we have stayed at and we have stayed at quite a few. Wifi was good for our son who is a gamer. Our daughter loved the outside fire pit. Kitchen was well equipped. My husband loved the front room where he could sit and read and look at the mountains.

A lovely home

We had a wonderful time in this Elkton home. The house was just as advertised, and very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked compared to some other homes we have stayed in. There are some rooms stylistically out of date, but the ones that have been updated are beautiful! I would assume the rest of the rooms would be redone eventually. The house was very comfortable, with lots of space to spread out for the 5 of us. The view out back was breathtaking! We had to contact the host one time, and he was very helpful and quick to resolve the one small issue. If you're into wineries, we would recommend the Brix and Columns vineyard very close to the house. It's a beautiful space with wonderful staff. If ever back in the area, we would stay again!

Sibling gathering

Very nice home in a very quiet and serene setting. We definitely would like to return in the future. I would recommend this home for anyone interested in staying in the area. We chose it as a half way point for all to meet and everyone was very happy. A very important part of that decision was that it was 1 story with only one step to enter. But one bedroom had a bed that was very high and with five siblings over the age of 70 we were unable to use. Had to resort to one of the couches. Despite this, we would enjoy staying there in future if something could be done to make the third bedroom safe and useable for people not very agile. For all others, I would highly recommend.

Comfortable house with stunning views

Having arranged a 2pm check in, because we were travelling with a baby, we arrived at the property and were unable to get in. We telephoned one of the numbers on the contacts but there was no answer. The other contact no. resulted in a very strange converstion and the person asking for money before he would give us the key code. We eventually got through to Evolve, the agents and they were most helpful. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. However there were a couple of cleaning issues which need dealing with. The enclosed porch floor was dirty, which we had to sweep and there were cigarette butts in a bin. The family bathroom was very dated and the bath needed a good clean. We were also very surprised how much road noise there was, something not at all obvious from the description. Having pointed out the negatives we still had a lovely family break.

It was a beautiful home close to Shenandoah National Park. It is a great home base for visiting many places in the area. It was so nice to come back after a day of traveling and make our own meals and relax outside or in the screened in porch. We will stay here again if in the area!

2nd stay!

This was our 2nd stay at this home and it was just as great as the first visit. The home has everything you need and more. The home is very clean and well kept, we enjoyed having so much privacy but close enough to stores and restaurants. Perfect little spot for our family and our son loved the toys. We can't wait to return and make more special memories! We also loved the updates to the home since our first visit.
