Fabulous location!
Need a comfortable place to stay after a full day in Yosemite? This place is for you since it's so close to the park entrance! Just make sure you pick up some groceries on your way in and have fun!

Perfect
We gathered here with family and friends from Switzerland. We knew we had made the right choice when they commented that this was a "perfect" place to stay... close to Yosemite Valley and the many trailheads/ hikes that started there, and all the conveniences of home. Perfect week.

Hites hideout
Our grandkids loved the game room and the big bathtub! This was a clean and comfortable home for ourselves, kids and grandkids to stay at while visiting Yosemite. The steep dirt road to access the house can be a bit challenging but it’s not a long way to go. We all enjoyed it and it is only about 7 miles to the Yosemite park boundary.

Perfect retreat outside Yosemite
What a beautiful house up on the hill above the Merced River. This was the perfect retreat after a few days in the backcountry. It was very close to the main entrance of the park and gave us quick access to the Valley. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. Our friends were saying how they'd like to come back because it's the perfect house in the perfect location.

Relaxing get away
We loved staying here. It was perfect for our group! The deck was amazing and the grill out there. We spent every evening out there and the mosquitoes weren't even bad. The hot tub was a bonus! It's very quiet and secluded which we loved. It is also easy to get to Yosemite. Make sure you bring towels for the pool and hot tub.

Exactly what you want in the mountains
Location was wonderful. We were not able to get tickets to Yosemite but we got up early and it was only a 15 minute drive to get inside the park. The house itself had so much space and it is exactly as advertised. The deck was wonderful and open and shaded. The only part of the property that made things a little tough was the Wi-Fi didn't work in the evenings. Not exactly sure why but after a long days of hiking we found we weren't able to relax and watch TV. But I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. And I have every intention of using the property again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Stay Near Yosemite
You cannot beat the location, if proximity to Yosemite (El Portal western entrance) is your goal. The house was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great Yosemite Cabin
The location was perfect for exploring Yosemite Valley. A little tough to get to in a mini van. off road access. Tucked away and very private. Great deck. lots of upgrades. My only critique is the sofa beds are not very good for sleeping or even sitting. large but uncomfortable. The spa was not working but the owner responded promptly.

One of the best rentals I have ever visited. It was clean, quiet, and well appointed. The owner/manager was very responsive. I wish I had more time to just chill at the house and enjoy the scenery from the backyard, but we spent most of our stay visiting Yosemite and other local spots. I really regret not using the grill and jacuzzi during our visit. Use of the pool at the Yosemite Cedar Lodge was great for the kids to cool off after a long hike. Just tell the front desk you are renting the cabin with the dirt drive way and they'll know what to do. Speaking of that, the road to the cabin is quite bumpy and steep. We had a loaded minivan and made it up without much concern but I'm not sure how a RWD vehicle would do on that road. All in all it was a great stay.

Hidden gem close to the park!!
My friends and I had a great time at this property. The house had everything needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, especially the hot tub!! The hot tub and the patio deck was such a nice treat after a long day of hiking in the park. I feel the photos do not do justice to the property. The place was much nicer than what you see in pictures. We would definitely be back again.

Nice clean home in a quiet location
The home was very nice in terms of amenity and location. About 15min to Arch rock entrance if no traffic. The rooms look much better than the pictures. Suggest the owner update the pictures with better ones. We originally booked for 9 people but the other family couldn’t come so we 6 people enjoyed the the whole house. Very spacious and had all the kitchen equipment and stocks to make meals. We just bought some food from Costco and cooked all our breakfast and dinner. The deck has a view of the mountain and feels very remote. The road to the home is not paved so it can get a little pumpy. Overall a very nice home for our Yosemite trip.

Best Merced River Rafting lodging
We loved our stay here and pleasantly surprised how charming and comfortable this Cabin is. We wanted a place to stay near the Merced river for some spring rafting . This location couldn’t have been better with the raft put in Location being less than a half mile from the put in. The location to Yosemite Valley also made it a perfect location for hiking the mist trail and Vernal Falls after our morning on the Merced. The hot tub was very nice after a full day and the amenities are really top of the line. We couldn’t have been happier with this VRBO and will be back frequently.

It was a great property, our family had a great time. The deck has amazing views to the mountains. Be prepared with all the information you need to check in because we had a hard time getting cell service. Once in the cabin you will be able to use Wi-Fi. We would definitely stay there again.

It looks like a neighborhood home but it’s really it’s tucked aways in the mountain. Everything about this place is charming and they provide everything you need! Including coffee!! We will stay here again!

Lovely house, great location
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful vacation home. It is well appointed with everything you need and our party of 8 enjoyed our stay immensely. The hot tub was welcome after long hikes and the use of the pool at Cedar Lodge was a huge plus. The location is perfect for visiting Yosemite. You get used to the steep drive to the house very quickly. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect location
We found this property perfect for our Yosemite trip. The house was very comfortable, had some higher end touches, and located close to the entrance gate. Yes, the driveway is steep, however, our van with 6 people had no issues. Very nice relaxing place to crash after a hard day of hiking!

Pictures don’t give justice to the place. Our house really feels like a home and we actually missed it when we got home. It was comfortable cooking in the kitchen and having breakfast out in the deck. My children got to name 2 blue birds as Rodrigoand Ricardo...both preferred eggs and none of the fruits :). The jacuzzi was wonderful and the master bedroom was a true oasis as it was separate from the others. The tub was wonderful and clean. We hope the others will respect it so it will continue to be a treasure for everyone. No doubt will choose this home for a next time.

Good upon first arrival but things got worse as the week went on
I had read other reviews about the place being dirty but upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised, it seemed clean and prefectly livable. As the stay went on we noticed more and more things that were wrong. Best thing was how close it was to the park. Biggest problem: the hot tub wasn’t properly cared for. It seemed fine when we got there but by the end of the week it smelled terrible. Some of us got pretty bad RASHES because the water wasn’t properly treated. This is unacceptable. Second biggest problem: the WiFi was essentially non existent. Technically we had WiFi but couldn’t stream any videos or even load Instagram. We even brought our own Apple TV to use but nothing worked. There were also no directions on how to connect in the house and it took us hours to figure it out. Trash: the trash is in basic cans on the outside patio. Every single night animals came and threw the trash everywhere. I understand you can’t do much about the animals but basic animal prevention trash cans would have been good. Coffee pot: was broken when we arrived so we had to make coffee and quickly transfer is to the blender. Made a huge mess. Washer/Dryer: dryer didn’t work. We did a load of laundry and couldn’t dry it so we ended up taking wet clothes home. We contacted the property about it during the trip but they didn’t respond. Overall cleanliness: it was fairly okay at first glance but the carpet in the main room was disgusting.

Great location, house, and amenities
The pros: This house has a great proximity to Yosemite valley. It has a well stocked kitchen, with a pleasant deck just off of it. The bedrooms have comfortable beds, with enough space in each room. The house has access to a shared pool at the inn next door which we made good use of. The driveway could fit several cars if needed. The hot tub and the game room (which is tiny with one arcade and a so-so foosball table) are a plus. The cons: The dirt road leading to the house is steep and in poor condition, we drove a two wheeled truck in the summer and handled it fine, it would be tough in the winter. The internet is adequate, but not great, fine enough for surfing but not reliable enough for phone calls, WFH is pushing the limits. The cleanliness of the house is mediocre, the kitchen and bathrooms were clean, but the floors were probably just onced over with a Swiffer as we found hairs and snacks around that weren't ours. The sheets smelled like they were left in the washer for far too long. I only deducted one star for all these issues because in my opinion they are minor, none of these issues were so bad that we wouldn't stay there again.

The house was as advertised, nice and clean, owner was very responsive to our requests. The property did have a pack and play when we arrived which was not mentioned on the web site. The deck was great, the location to the park can’t be beat!

Nice and Lovely place but not clean : )
The house was really cute and Lovely. The deck in particular. We enjoyed it a lot. The location of the house is also good. The one negative and challenging part is the access road. The uphill road to the house is not paved and driving will be really hard if you own a sedan. Be prepared! The second reason which lowered the rate for us was the cleanness of the house. Bathrooms were filthy.hairs on the floors : ( We had to clean and disinfect everything. Bed sheets and covers were not clean either! Whoever was supposed to clean the house didn't do his/her job well. There were no extra trash bag. only the ones in trash cans.

Amazing home for Yosemite trip
Beautiful and spacious home close to Yosemite National Park. House had new appliances and beautiful bathrooms. Large patio and plentiful parking. AC works very well (felt so good after a long day of hiking). Only downside was the last half mile before reaching the house (a little confusing since you actually drive through an RV park and can be difficult for non-SUV cars, but not impossible). Would definitely recommend this place!

Great location but filthy house
The location was great!!! The house was really cute and plenty of room for our family! Staff was helpful. But the reason for the low rating was because of the dirty house!!! The floors were absolutely filthy. Bathrooms were also filthy. I felt I had to disinfect everything. A little wine was spilled on the kitchen floor and the wet paper towel used to clean it up was totally black. Whoever was supposed to clean the house should be fired. Also the towels smelled like they had be left in the washer too long and smelled like mildew. Each time I washed them, I used Clorox. There was some food left on the counter that was not sealed completely and we woke up to ants all over the counter and in the sink. We had to put all bread, snacks, etc into the frig once they were opened. The staff said they could spray but I had already disinfected and did not want ant spray everywhere - we also had 4 children I didn’t want exposed to the ant killer. The last day we awoke to no water. It was 5:00 in the morning and I called the staff. The phone had so much static they couldn’t hardly hear me. But they did come soon to try to find out the problem. They thought maybe a water line had broken. Anyway, it could not be fixed before we had to leave to catch our flight back home. Hopefully this review will help the owners become aware of the problems of the property.

Home away from home
The house is lovely and is truly home away from home. Was surprised that even cooking oil was provided! The hot tub is a bonus!!!! and a Rose wine is a lovely surprised. As part of the stay, you can enjoy the pool of the Lodge but we didn't bother using it as we enjoyed the house itself. The only challenging part is going up the hill to the house , but it not something you cannot handle, should be piece of cake esp if you drive a pick up truck. Very close to Yosemite Park! very nice drive. Highly recommend! Would be staying here again when we come back to the area.

Excellent property, enjoyed thoroughly. Small hick up like game room ball was missing and handy man was to deliver, did not happen. Main door is misaligned which was shown to him, did not get chance to fix it. Of course did not impact us.

Peaceful & comfortable oasis near Yosemite
The cabin was exactly what we needed after long days exploring Yosemite. It was so quiet and cozy. The deck and the yard were amazing, even better than the pictures. We all slept really well. My boys loved the game room and the hot tub. Easy drive to the entrance of the park, close to the valley.

Beautiful home in a great setting
Home - wonderful, as advertised; wonderful deck, lots of shady trees. Location - right off higway, up a short, hilly road (unpaved). A bit over 20 minutes from Yosemite entrance. Check-in process - home had not been cleaned when we arrived; misunderstanding about our arrival date. However, owner sent over a clean up crew within minutes, and when we got back to the home after a trip to Yosemite, it was clean & ready to go. Communication - excellent in general, but at the house, land line and wifi are spotty. All in all, a great base to explore Yosemite; spacious enough for 10, and I would rent this home again.

Owner and property manager were easy to get in touch with and to communicate with. The pictures of the property don't really do the place justice it is way better than what you see online. Hot tub is on point after a long day hiking and the view from the hot tub is awesome.

Great location; a few issues
House was very clean, plenty of provisions, lots of space, and was the perfect location outside of Yosemite. However, the house phone didn’t work, and with no cell service we felt quite isolated. We couldn’t call the house manager so I attempted to send an email - which of course I didn’t have enough service to do. Amir did check on us the next morning and we were able to discuss some issues with him then. There are several places in the home where the floor was very soft and we all got in the habit of stepping over those places. Finally, the gravel road to the house is quite rough and steep. One day it rained and we had to engage our 4 wheel drive. If you are not comfortable driving on that type road you will be stressed by this road.

A great house in a great location
The house was lovely (even better than the pictures) It had everything we needed, all was clean an organized. the backyard is great, you can hear the sound of the river while sitting there. It is about 30 minutes from Yosemite part itself, which is almost the closest thing you can find outside the park. One note regarding sleeping arrangements: the extra beds other than the bedrooms are in the living room, so make sure that works for you if you're planning to use them. there's a nice playroom as well, but it is located in a shed outside the house to does not fit for sleeping.
