The summer house `De Zeester` is quietly located on the south side of Egmond aan Zee, car-free, on a lawn in a child-friendly neighbourhood and close to a children's playground. You can park your car close to the cottage. The parking fee for the South side of Egmond aan Zee, Zone C+D, is included in the rental price. From the cottage it is a *5-minute walk to the beach and the centre, with its shops and terraces. The Noordhollands Duinreservaat, the dune area, is next door, where you can enjoy walking and cycling. At *300 metres from the summer house, there is a company where you can rent bicycles if necessary.
The summer house is fully equipped for 4 people, but we only rent to 1/3 adults or 2 adults with 1 older child, /or 1 Baby. The summer house consists of a private entrance, with shower and toilet, separate kitchen and a cosy living room. Upon entering, you first enter the hall where the shower and toilet are located. Through the kitchen, where you will also find the stairs to the upper floor, you will enter the living room. This is furnished with a 3-seater sofa, an armchair, a dining table with chairs and a TV dresser. The room has a (cable) TV with a DVD player and free WIFI/WLAN access.
The kitchen is equipped with a Combi-Magnetron, Fridge with Freezer, Coffee pod machine and a Coffee filter machine, Bread/Toaster, a Mixer and Cutlery.
In the summer house, on the Upper Floor we have a front room with a single bed and a bedroom with 2 single beds. The two rooms are separated by a connecting door. A (baby) travel cot is also available free of charge if required. The front room has 1 single bed, 80 x 200 cm, with washbasin and the other room has 2 single beds, 90 x 200 cm. On the 2 single beds is a double topper. The two bedrooms are separated by a connecting door.
All beds have duvets and pillows, without bed linen. You can bring bed linen and towels yourself or we can rent them for a fee. A (baby) travel cot can be placed in one of the bedrooms. We only rent to 1/3 adults or 2 adults with 1 older child/or 1 baby.
The staircase to the attic can be closed if necessary.
Outdoor space :
At the back of the summer house you are completely secluded, with access from both the kitchen and via a side entrance. Here you can have a quiet coffee or a sandwich. At the front of the summer house, the sunny side, there is a bench where you can also relax, overlooking the adjacent lawn. BBQing is allowed in the back garden.

The municipality of Bergen consists of the 6 villages, Egmond aan Zee, Egmond aan de Hoef, Egmond Binnen, Bergen, Schoorl and Groet. Egmond aan Zee is the most famous of the Egmond villages and originated over 1000 years ago as a fishing village, which is still clearly visible in the villagescape. And since the beginning of the last century, it has been very popular with tourists who mainly come for the peace and quiet and the healthy sea air. Prominent on the promenade is the Jan van Speyk lighthouse. The wide beach offers numerous opportunities for relaxation: beach chairs, sun beds, windbreaks and beach pavilions. Of course, there are also fishing, walking, swimming, sailing and surfing opportunities. The village offers holidaymakers plenty of entertainment, terraces, restaurants and a shopping area with something for everyone. In summer, there is a weekly event, including a night market on Wednesday evenings. The shops are open 7 days a week all year round and are easily accessible for everyone. Places of interest in the spring are the blossoming flower fields, the Ruins and Castle Chapel in Egmond aan den Hoef, the Abbey in Egmond Binnen, the Museum of Egmond and the Alkmaar Cheese Market (on Fridays).
