I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations in several areas.
Room Cleaning & Housekeeping:
After returning from breakfast, I found that although my room had been “cleaned,” there was rubbish left on the floor and the bed had been made very poorly, as if rushed. When I asked the maid about the rubbish, the response was vague and I was told it was “already there,” which made little sense. The maid did eventually remove the rubbish and attempted to remake the bed, but the overall standard was disappointing.
General Staff & Facilities
To be clear, the staff at reception, the spa, and the dining areas were excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. However, the showers and sunbeds around the pool area are in need of better cleaning and some repair work.
Atmosphere & Guest Experience
I used to visit this hotel frequently for meetings in the lobby, which was always a great environment for online calls and lunch. Recently, however, there has been a noticeable shift in the clientele. While I have no issue with the demographic itself, my wife and I experienced a couple of incidents involving racist behaviour from other guests. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable and overshadowed the rest of our stay. Due to the decline in housekeeping standards, the maintenance issues around the pool area, and—most importantly—the uncomfortable encounters with certain guests, I will not be returning in a hurry or recommending this hotel.
