Eberndorf belongs to the Völkermarkt district in Carinthia, the region near the Slovenian border offers mainly nature and mountains. The MTB Bike Park Petzen and the Petzen / Feistritz ob Bleiburg ski area with 15 kilometers of slopes, a perfect ski area for beginners, snowboarders and recreational skiers, are only 5 minutes away by car. You can take a dip in the cool water at the lido on Lake Klopeiner, which is only 20 minutes away by car. There are 2 other beautiful picturesque bathing lakes nearby, the Turner See and the Gösselsdorfersee, where you can also go swimming. The region in southern Carinthia offers other outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and running.

Directly in the town or in Völkermarkt there are sufficient shops for daily needs as well as a good selection of restaurants.
