Good space
Charming, clean house with nice hangout spots in living room, sunroom and deck. Very short walk to beach and about 1 mile from the CC bike trail in a peaceful residential area. Bedrooms are large but bathroom and kitchen are small. In the “good to know” department, the house has a couple of tripping hazards and very steep stairs - not ideal for anyone unsteady on their feet. Also the host’s stated expectations for cleaning were high given that there is a cleaning fee. E.g. wash the tea towels before you go, even if you brought your own linens and only used 2 tea towels - seems wasteful to run the laundry just for that. Overall we were very comfortable there and would recommend to others.

Great Cape Getaway
We recently stayed at Charles and Paula's place in Eastham, MA, over Thanksgiving week, and it was a wonderful experience. The rental was ideally located, offering easy parking, which was a huge convenience. The best part was its proximity to the beach - a short walk led us to stunning seaside views, perfect for relaxing strolls. The house was cozy and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and homely. It was the ideal retreat for our family visit to Cape Cod. The peaceful surroundings and easy access to local attractions added to our memorable holiday. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Cape Cod.

A perfect Cape Cod getaway
This cottage, just yards away from Cape Cod Bay, was a perfect getaway for our group (4 adults). After spending time in Boston, and Halloween in Salem. We wanted a few days to relax and recharge before heading home. So a few days on the Cape is what we needed! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is extremely tiny, but it serves its purpose. There is plenty of space, both indoors and outdoors. There is an enclosed porch, as well as a deck. Both have picnic tables. We had a great stay at this beautiful property. We will definitely look for it next time we are on the Cape.

60th birthday trip
Lovely, quaint cosy cottage. Unfortunately we were only there a few nights but the cottage fitted our needs perfectly for a few days of exploring the area & chilling times. Highlight was a whale watching trip from Provincetown.

Loved that the bay was just a few steps away. The house was comfortable with a great outdoor shower.
Well maintained property. The house had a warm, charming feeling. The house is small and I think would be uncomfortable for more than three or four people. You can see bay from the upstairs bedroom. Very nice in the morning!

A beautiful beach find
So close to the beach! It would be great for small children! It was a mostly cold, rainy weekend but we had one sunny afternoon and got to enjoy the deck and porch. We would love to go back with our grandchildren in the summer.

WHAT A GREAT COTTAGE!
My two Sisters and I were EXTREMELY HAPPY with Charles and Paula's Cottage in Eastham. Loved meeting them on one of our walks around the neighborhood. Beautiful views of the water from several rooms, and just steps from the Beach. The cottage is well stocked, very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The area is quiet, yet close to rte. 6 for convenience. We rode out Tropical Storm Nicole like 3 kids, then ran down to the beach to catch another glorious Sunset. Would definitely recommend this charming cottage to anyone looking to spend time at The Cape. Thank you Charles and Paula! Nancy, Lori and Barbara

An Amazing Location
This property is immediately adjacent to Campground Beach. The ocean is visible from several locations in the house. While the kitchen and bath are small, the 3 bedrooms are good size. The window air conditioners are a big plus during the height of the summer. However, we found that the breeze of the water did a great job keeping the house cool during our stay. There is lots of room available in the 3-season room and on the deck. We love the Cape and Eastham in particular.

Great week at the Cape with excellent bay access location. Very small bathroom (outside shower saved the day) and kitchen but perfect for 2 and a very clean unit.

The house was adorable and cozy! Exactly what our family of four needed for a getaway. Walked to the beach in less than a minute. Plenty of space and very clean. Looking forward to booking again.

Peaceful and wonderful
Amazing get away! Charles and Paula were great hosts! Spacious house , with comfy beds, kitchen full of what you need and a deck with a grill and plenty of seating - shaded or sunny (open up the umbrella for shade!) We felt like we had our own private bird sanctuary behind us - we were entertained every morning!! Couldn’t believe how close we were to the beach, we just grab our towels and walked over to Campground beach for a swim - yes, even in May the water was warm enough, in a refreshing way! And, then came back and rinsed off in the outdoor shower. Located close enough to route 6, to restaurants and to take a day trip to P- Town or Chatham. We did both! Loved everything the house had to offer and can’t wait to come back!!

Wonderful stay
Loved this cottage. The location is perfect for proximity to the beach. The cottage is furnished comfortably and has a real Cape feel. We had a wonderful time and would love to return. Just a couple of things that could be mentioned in the listing. Make it clear that if you like to cook, there are no condiments or spices, aside from salt and pepper. Otherwise there are adequate supplies of cooking utensils and pots and pans. Bar soap was also not provided for the shower and should be mentioned in the description.

Thank you for your review Rebecca, we are glad you enjoyed the cottage and your stay. Guests often times leave spices as per our pay it forward policy. We removed all spices from the cottage at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, however. We hope the supply will build as things return to normal. We never have provided personal hygiene products, our description states what we do provide. This includes hand soap, dish liquid, and starter rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. We hope to see you again!!

House was very clean, had everything we needed and we loved the location. The hosts were great. They were very quick to respond to my many messages and worked with us to accommodate my daughter’s need to have early access to the house and WiFi. I would love to stay here again.

Lovely cottage in a great location
We really enjoyed our stay here. In late April it was as quiet as could be! The hosts are very responsive and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the entire Cape, and it is quite close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, which we thoroughly enjoyed biking. The view of the bay from the deck and one of the second floor bedrooms is wonderful, and being able to walk a few steps to the Bay beach (for sunset) is great. We also really appreciated the very well-equipped kitchen since we cooked all of our meals. One note: The stairs to the 2 second floor bedrooms are very steep, so they could be a challenge for those who are not so nimble. (Bathroom is on first floor.) We actually ended up moving down to the very comfortable first floor bedroom after the first night.

A perfect getaway
This was our first getaway since the start of the pandemic. While I felt a bit nervous to book a trip, this ended up to be perfect. The cottage is fantastic. The location is excellent. A perfect getaway. Being off season, it was very quiet and serene at the cottage. But even on season, the layout of the property would allow for privacy. The cottage itself was so sweet. There were water views from many vantage points. The porch, deck, and multiple sitting areas were awesome. The kitchen had everything you might need. While the bathroom was small, there is a large outdoor shower. The downstairs bed, where my husband and I stayed, was extremely comfortable. The view from upstairs was beautiful. There was heat for the days we needed it. The only slight issue we had was the lock box for the house key. It was hard to unlock upon arrival, and even harder to lock back up upon departure. A very minor glitch in a fantastic, perfect getaway. Highly recommended!!

Perfect spring break escape
With COVID still looking, we wanted an easy getaway that would allow us to still social distance but feel like we were on vacation. This cottage was perfect. Right at the beach with tons to do. While it was too cold to be a beach vacation, we biked in the National Seashore, walked around Provincetown, visited lighthouses and had quality family time. I would definitely rent again!

Great Cape Cod getaway
We spent four enjoyable nights here. The property is just as advertised. It is clean, well-equipped, with adequate heat for cool nights. There is plenty of outdoor space for warm weather grilling. The hosts were accessible by email prior to our stay and responsive to questions during our time there. We highly recommend this property for its location, amenities, and comfort.

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was lovely. We only wish the weather had been warmer and drier so we could enjoy the deck. The view from the upstairs bedroom and location were both fantastic. One note - I think the photos here might be outdated as there are actually two double beds in the upstairs bedroom rather than a twin (so don't bring twin sheets like we did!).

Thanksgiving mini vacation
What a wonderful, charming, accommodating cottage! We absolutely adored our stay. The kitchen was well stocked. The home was very clean! The bedrooms were spacious. There is a beautiful beach within a very short walking distance (minutes). The location is perfect. Five stars all around!

Great house walking distance to beach
We had a great time staying here! The house was very comfortable & had everything that we needed. It's only a minute walk to Campground beach, definitely go back at sunse and bring your cameta, it's beautiful. The house is also a very short drive to the businesses on Rt 6. and other area beaches. We definitely recommend anyone looking to stay in the Eastham area.

Peaceful Fall Retreat
Lovely Cozy little cottage for a peaceful getaway. Good suggestions on the frig door for local take out. Be sure to bring your spices with you, if planning to cook. All the essential hardware is available including the lobster pot! Cozy beds.

Perfect Bayside Stay
Adorable house just a stone throw away from the beach. The house was quaint, clean and has a nice outside porch and grill. We enjoyed the second floor bedroom that has a beautiful view of the bay, and we’re easily able to catch sunset every night! We plan return again in the future!

Lovely stay in Eastham!
We had such a wonderful time enjoying an autumn Cape Cod getaway at Charles and Paula’s cottage. The property was very accurately depicted in the listing, and there was plenty of room for our family of six. The home and decor is so charming and we arrived to find it exceptionally clean. The location was perfect, too - just steps to campground beach and a short drive to Cape Cod National Seashore and plenty of great shops and restaurants. We would love to return for a future visit!

Small cottage in great location
Great location, within walking distance of campground beach and The Landing (ice cream, deli, and small convenience store). Short drive to national seashore or Eastham restaurants. The cottage had three good-sized bedrooms. The kitchen, bath, and living room felt cramped. Three season porch was great for eating breakfast. Deck area had plenty of seating for lunch and dinner.

perfect for a true beach vacation
This is a perfect spot for families looking to spend a lot of time at the beach, as we did. Being able to walk to the private area or over to Campground Beach was perfect. Would recommend for single large family, but not two families looking to share.

This is 2 Nd stay here and such a joy There is pure enjoyment here, many indoor games, books,everything is well stocked in kitchen to make a great meal. Home is extremely neat and clean. The owners are so wonderful and I could not imagine staying anywhere else. Of course beach is just steps away. The porch and deck are wonderful. I can’t say enough about how perfect this rental is. I will return again to this home. Love the stairs !!

Cozy Eastham
Newly remodeled Cape cottage half a block from Cape Cod Bay as advertised. Visited in the “off-season“ so no crowds whatsoever. Imagine it is still a lovely place in summer, but likely much busier. House was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen well-equipped. Bathroom a little small, but functional. Nice three season porch with heater allowed us to dine “out“. Beautiful deck space which we did not get to use because of the cooler climate. A short drive to fresh seafood, best donuts on the Cape, and tons of hiking and biking options.

A thoroughly enjoyable week!
We are Cape Cod veterans, going back to 1974. We have stayed at several places in the past, St. Aubin's Bay Side Cottages on Turnip Field Road, and Smith Heights cottages at Fort Hill to name two, but this was easily the best of all places for everything we were looking for. And the weather and ocean cooperated. We plan on coming back to the Cape and renting from Charles and Paula in the future. We noticed that there are five cottages in this little complex, and we would like some information on sites D and E for my son's family for next year. Possible? Regards, Skip Riddell

Great stay!
Property was clean, owners quickly responded to the few questions I had prior to my stay, and the cable-TV package included NBC-SN so was able to watch all 3 of the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Finals games that happened that week! Great outdoor shower, too.

Perfect place, rain or shine
We stayed ten nights in our 26th wedding anniversary week. Our Boston ‘kids’ came down twice in the weekends.except for the first and last days it was cool and cloudy. But (unlike montpelier vt) threes were leafing out and flowers were blooming. The view from the upstairs bedroom was a dream come true - perfect place to watch the changing light over Cape Cod Bay. The enclosed porch was a lovely, airy, has a bay view and perfect for family dinner on a cold evening, with the very effective space heater. We had some beach time with our five year old granddaughter and family. The owners couldn’t be nicer. We love Campground beach - perfect for kids and sunsets and long walks on the flats when the tide is out. In summer the water is warm and shallow even at high tide. In bad weather the house was a perfect place to see the sea!

Lovely Stay at the Cape!
My wife and I so enjoyed our stay at Charles and Paula’s beautiful Cape beach house. Extremely comfortable accommodations in a cozy setting that is truly like a home away from home. Loved the long walks on the beach and close access to all the Cape has to offer. Despite the rainy weather, we still had a wonderful stay. Can’t wait to make a return visit!

Adorable cottage. Great location!
We stayed during the coldest Thanksgiving on record, but we had the best time. The cottage is cozy and well equipped...and the bay is right around the corner! The views from the upstairs bedroom were spectacular. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. We can't wait to return.

A Great House that made our vacation perfect!
This was an absolute amazing vacation. The house was perfect and literally steps from the beach! The outdoor shower was just what we needed after a day at the beach. The view from the upstairs window was one of my favorites, especially to see when waking up. It only rained one day while we were there and watching/listening to the rain from the three season porch was another favorite of mine. The grill was another great amenity and we used it every night! Seriously, this is a home away from home and we are looking forward to next year! Thank you.
