"This place was perfect. That porch over looking the lake and the stars. Lots of wildlife to see. The house is perfect, stocked with all the essentials and more then I’ve ever had in a vrbo stay. The cabin is far enough away to be quiet, but close to all the essentials. I’ve been to Machias area a million times, this was the best visit yet. I’ve already booked my week for next year. Next year Im hoping to see a moose."

"Everything we needed to entertain a group of 7. Our vacation was all about doing a sea food boil and the space was perfect for that and the kitchen was fully equipped and stocked. We did bring our own big lobster pot and outdoor burner but there was a grill with a burner available and lots of big pots. The place was roomy and quiet. Host was very accommodating and I would most definitely stay there again. "

"Excellent property, incredible views, nice decks to relax on, and just a beautiful surrounding! We had everything we needed! Close to Quoddy Head, lots of hiking, we even drove out to the sand bar at low tide to watch people clamming! Bed was so comfortable, overall 5 stars and we would rent again! "We loved our stay in this beautiful, secluded oceanfront cottage! The home had everything we needed and the view was absolutely amazing! Stewart's Grocery & Takeout had great takeout pizza and groceries. We enjoyed lovely maple cortados at the Milkhouse Cafe south of Machias, and fantastic lobster bisque at the Public House. Eastport, Lubec, and Pembroke are all an easy drive away. We also enjoyed Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. An unforgetable stay in an unforgettable location."

"This was a perfectly peaceful and relaxing stay. The host thought of everything! The lapping water on the lake was a soothing background night and day. There is a road nearby, but the traffic is so minimal that it doesn’t take away from the experience at all. We packed a cooler because there’s not much nearby for restaurants, but that was fine because we didn’t have much desire to go anywhere. "Beautiful cottage that had everything we needed. Very clean and only minutes from downtown. The only feedback I have is the use of the laundry detergent. Tide has a very strong scent that is not pleasing to many people. The use of a scent free detergent would create a neutral but clean appearance on the towels and bedding. "

Notes for parents with small kids: the walk to the beach is alongside the creek not the road so think about what you want to carry, upstairs where the twin beds are are skylights and the sun rises very early this far east- travel blackout curtains might be helpful."
