"Seems like it would be a nice enough place to stay with the family for a vacation getaway right on a lake. However, we were traveling across I-80 and just needed a place to stay overnight. This was a ways off the highway, so it required some extra driving to get there. The room was okay. It's an old motel that has been renovated but still seems a little tired."

When I reserved to take my grandkids to enjoy in a swimming pool, because the pictures in the web site showed a beautiful hotel with a beautiful swimming pool, and there was a nothing. When we arrived there was no cars in the parking lot, only one in the back side. No one to open the door. We waited a good 15 minutes for the door to be open. "The reviews of this place are incredibly polarizing. Some people think it is the worst place they have ever seen. Others think of it as a twee little time capsule, an example of the pocono mountains in their former glory. The truth is a bit in between, though it is, in cat the worst place I have ever stayed. (And I am a sucker for cheap motels) You can see evidence of its former glory. It seems kinda clean, but it is very run down. Whoever runs this place has done a number of shoddy repairs....

"The staff was absolutely fantastic.But the cleaning of the room failed.Out of the 4 days we stayed the room was supposedly clean 2 times,and all they did was pick up the trash and change the towels and do the beds.The bed sheets were never changed.I know this because one had a stain and it was never changed.Also the whole place needs a lot of upgrades."

"Excellent hotel and ski resort complex, with great infrastructure and activities for both children and adults. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Note: the shuttle service between the hotel and the ski base is unreliable and delayed our ski lesson. Winter weekends are very crowded."
