"We loved this property. The owners obviously have an eye for decor as it is a really stylish place and beautifully finished. We loved how peaceful the property was and the owners had thought of everything . We really appreciated the tea, coffee and milk after a 5 hour drive and the muffins, biscuits and crisps were a lovely touch. All the information you needed was in a folder and we visited lots of the places recommenced in it. It’s a fantastic property and we hope to stay there again."

He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. "The general condition of the hotel is poor, old, tired and a bit scruffy. The rooms just about fit the bill, but the bathrooms are very small. "The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. "

"The room was clean and functional. Plenty of parking. The receptionist who checked me in was miserable and didn’t make me feel welcome. Pretty sure I was the only one staying there. The hotel is very tired in most respects. It’s quite isolated also so you need a car to get anywhere. My room was located very close to the A19 so a lot of road traffic noise."

"Gorgeous property, staff were so lovely, lots of parking! Room and decor was lovely and we felt so at home. It’s a shame we didn’t spend more time on site. Breakfast was great, and the cafe was insane! Probably one of the best cafes in the county, if not country. We will definitely return. The choice to purchase local produce from the pantry was a nice touch too. We visited the area for business, but hope to come back in our spare time and stay again!"
