"Great quiet location and reasonable walk to the city centre. Great access down to the river and woodland walks around the area of the flat. There is a Sainsbury's local a short walk away. The flat is nestled in the trees and we heard then saw two owls early one morning, a lovely bonus.The flat is clean, warm and cosy, it would be helpful to have a few extra things like proper oven gloves a little more crockery (only 4 of each). "Amazing place to stay, flat very well appointed for a the maximum of 4. Views are great, especially fun when golfers are playing! Ideal location for Beamish and Newcastle attractions. "Finchale is such a beautiful place, next to the priory ruins in a bend of the river Wear - amazing views across the river, or from the far bank to the priory. The big sitting room has views of the river on three sides, and is a really comfortable and relaxing room. There's a well-provided kitchen and generous modern bathroom (and separate WC). Bedrooms are very restful too - I would say the high sleeper in the third bedroom is best suited to the younger (under 50 at any rate) and/or more agile,...

"We stayed for daughter's graduation in Durham for two nights. Roons a great size loved the quirkiness if the property. Had every yuou could need. Wish this property was in Durham only easier for travelling"

"We used the apartment as a base to spend a day at Beamish. Overall the apartment was good, there were just a couple of niggles which need sorting otherwise everything was ok. You need a car if you are staying here as the area is very hilly although there is a bus route close by. Iff we were to come back to this area then I wouldn't have a problem staying here again.
