"The room was clean and very convenient as it had an external door to the car park. The room was too hot, not helped by the towel radiator which always on. Not needed when the weather outside was 25⁰C. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast in the moving of our departure which set us up for the rest of the day."

"The hotel was very conveniently located and easy to find, and when we arrived all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. My faulty hairdryer was replaced immediately and the food was cooked perfectly. Our only concern was the water temperature in the shower; it was very temperamental, alternating between scalding and freezing!"

"It was a lovely property with an interesting history. We visited in the middle of a heat wave and without any A/C and being unable to open the windows more than a few inches, the rooms were hot! A nice quiet fan was provided but it made the heat slightly less unbearable. Thank goodness for the pool! The staff were pleasant and helpful."

Only slight issue was staff were sometimes a little slow getting to us to order cooked breakfast meaning we had to miss out on the one day because we had an impatient toddler. Speciality is the steaks and the Tuesday steak offer where I had a 16oz rump which I gave to say was the best cut of meat I have had in a very longtime. "I was little disappointed as when I booked through hotels.com platform,they advertised it as breakfast included free but then when I arrived at the hotel, I was told breakfast was not included. They didn't tell me the cost of the breakfast until I asked, neither was I given a receipt of my payment made (I should have asked but I had three little kids to sort out and it slipped out of my mind) The room was stuffy, there was a fan which only had speed control and didn't do a great job. "Often drive past the Welldiggers pub, and decided to stay for a wedding event for a couple of nights. Room was lovely and cosy, view was even better. Great little stay."
