Spectacular sunsets over Keuka Lake - Located in the HEART of the Finger Lakes!

The Kingfisher Chalet is a cozy vacation home with incredible views of Keuka Lake. Located on 6 private, wooded acres on Keuka's east side halfway between Hammondsport and Penn Yan. Close to several top-notch wineries, restaurants, and all that the Finger Lakes region has to offer. You will love the spacious porch for a morning coffee, grilling and eating dinner, and sipping a glass of wine while watching the amazing sunsets.

The Kingfisher sleeps up to eight people with 4 large bedrooms and 2 modern bathrooms. Amenities include wifi, cable TV (SlingTV*), outdoor fire pit, and 4 parking spaces. The property is located on the Keuka Wine Trail and an easy drive to Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Dundee, and Watkins Glen. There are several scenic and hilly rides nearby for bicyclists, runners, and drivers. The upstairs floor includes 2 bedrooms with queen beds and each with a view of the lake, shared bathroom, kitchen / dining room, living room, and access to front and side porches. The downstairs floor includes the master bedroom with queen bed and en suite bathroom (and view of the lake), bedroom with a double and twin bed, and laundry room. The front porch includes a large wicker couch, 2 wicker chairs, & several extra chairs. The side porch is right off the kitchen and ideal for eating dinner outside. Includes a large patio table with 6 chairs for outdoor dining & propane grill (photo coming soon). You will find everything you need for cooking at home including a drip coffeemaker, french press, crockpot, juicer, outdoor grill, and more. At the front of the house is a large grassy yard for playing games or having a campfire. The large wooded area behind house includes hiking paths and a scenic ravine.

*Our cable TV package is SlingTV Blue package. We do not have local channels. SlingTV offers 42 channels including CNN, Comedy Central, HGTV, BBC, Lifetime and more. We cannot guarantee you will get every program or event you want to watch.

The house includes an outdoor firepit and cornhole board games. You need to supply your own firewood. There are several places nearby selling firewood and there is often leftover firewood on the property (but no guarantee).


Guests of all backgrounds are welcome to enjoy our space. We look forward to hosting you.

What a great spot to stay. The rental was clean, comfortable and spacious. Towels were supplied as well as linens and kitchen towels. The deck overlooking the lower section of houses and the lake was wonderful. There were rocking chairs and we spent a lot of time enjoying the view. Property is close to wineries, breweries, restaurants and hiking. It was a great long weekend.

Quick Getaway

We visited with our adult children and their spouses. We had six total in our party and had plenty of room to be comfortable. Communication with the host was excellent.The location overall was great. It was convenient to everything we had planned for our trip. We cooked our evening meals at home and had most of what we needed in order to prepare them. The only items that were "lacking" ....we didn't really have any containers to store leftover items in and we could have used a couple more dish towels for drying dishes as we only found one and it got wet pretty fast drying dishes for six people. The view was really nice and we enjoyed having our coffee on the porch before it got too hot for the day. It is a busy road so the noise level in the morning as people commuted was a bit much but we didn't notice it at all from inside the property. Overall we really enjoyed the property and definitely hope to return!!

We got together with school friends we haven’t seen in 60 years. Beautiful view. Wonderful house…room for all of us and very clean. We were very comfortable. The perfect place to share tears and laughter. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend time in the region.

We, two couples stayed at Kingfisher. House was comfortable and convenient to Finger Lakes wine tasting, Corning Glass, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Women's Right Museum in Senaca Falls, Watkins Glen. View from the front deck was awesome. There were a few minor problems, but the Owner rectified them quickly. We would stay there again.

Absolutely Amazing Stay

This was the absolutely perfect place for our long weekend getaway!! The house was wonderful, but the porch was the star!! The view, atmosphere, and vibes on the porch were absolutely beautiful!! We literally spent all our time in there while at the house. When we left the house, it was in a perfect location because it was right in the middle of Hammondsport and Penn Yan. Kate and the property manager were also so wonderful!! So attentive, responded immediately, and so so helpful! If we were ever to return to Keuka Lake, we would only do it, if could stay here again. Such a memorable trip for my mom’s 75th birthday/girls trip! Also, Dr.Franks and Bully Hill vineyards are definitely top of our list for wineries to visit!!

Great location and home for family getaway!

We had a great stay at the house over the Fourth of July!! Kate was a great host and checked in on us. The view from the deck is wonderful and the house is in a great location to access all the towns around Keuka Lake. We had five adults and one toddler and had plenty of room and were very comfortable. Even in very hot weather, AC worked well. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare meals. We also used the grill and sat outside. We could even see a few fireworks from the deck on the 4th! Highly recommend the home.

Master celebration

Kingfisher is a beautiful property and the view of the lake from the front porch. It's absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything that you could possibly need. The host and the manager are amazing. We had a little hiccup the power and the electric. Kate and Renee, we're very responsive and absolutely wonderful in handling the situation and everything that we needed. You could not ask for a better host and manager.

Breathtaking Lake View Rental

Kate’s property went above and beyond our expectations. The view of the lake from inside the house and in the yard was beautiful. The yard outside was freshly cut with adorable paths to meander around the property and see the fresh flowers. The host was gracious enough to allow us to host a micro-wedding (less than 15 people) and it went beautifully. This property was clean, well decorated, and recently updated. I almost feel like the photos don’t do the house justice! The host was quick to respond to messages and very informative. The check in process was smooth and easy, as was the checkout. My husband and I are excited to return in the future to celebrate an anniversary at the place we got married.

Nice getaway at the Kingfisher

Gorgeous view and very comfortable home. Loved sitting on the deck or in the living room and watching the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with a large variety of equipment and basics. Lots of towels. We enjoyed taking the kids to play grounds so didn't have a chance to enjoy the nearby adult activities.

Beautiful Property, Close to Everything!

The Kingfisher is located right in the middle of Keuka Lake, centrally located and close to everything we wanted to see (this was our first visit to Finger Lakes). The property is very private and has great lake views, even when the trees are full of leaves. We had a full house with 5 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of space! The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. As the pictures show, the kitchen is small (and no dishwasher), so we opted for easy meals which was perfect for vacation! There were lots of pots and skillets, plates, glasses, and silverware. If you're planning to bake or roast anything, you will want to bring a casserole dish or similar. The front porch with lake views is amazing. There are plenty of seats (more than shown in the pictures) and we spent much of our time there! We had a minor issue, which was handled quickly by Kate. She's a wonderful, very responsive host. We highly recommend this property!

Peaceful cottage at a great location
