Lovely carriage house
This little house is a gem - we loved everything about it. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need without feeling cluttered. You cannot find a better lake view anywhere. The host was very responsive and we were even able to check in a bit early. Sadly it was windy and rainy for our entire stay, but we just got cozy by the fireplace and read our books and just enjoyed the view. (a big thank you to the cleaning staff - the house was spotless)! thank you

Fantastic views and amenities
We loved the cottage house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was very relaxing to watch the waves on Lake Superior from all rooms in the house, the balcony and the ground level patio. We will be booking again.

Beauty
The beauty of this home, with its great attention to detail, and the beauty of the setting, right on Lake Superior, was truly fantastic. Seeing and hearing the lake at all times was a treat, and being surrounded by beauty inside and out was very special, indeed. THANK YOU!

Not sure how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. Probably why no one has! It’s clean, like new, has coffee, and there’s this large body of water right outside your window that’s pretty nice. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing place to stay!
Stayed here for a long weekend in March, and everything about it was prefect The home was so clean and beautiful- the kitchen was so well stocked and had everything we needed to cook meals. The view of the lake from the backyard was breathtaking! Can't wait to come back!

Carriage House
So many wonderful, upgraded amenities. A snack tray to satisfy your sweet and salty cravings. Lake Superior right out the patio doors. Comfortable furniture on the deck and in the yard to sit and relax. Host, Tabitha, was very helpful. Everything is well thought out to make your stay perfect. We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Well done, Carriage House!

Perfect!
Spent a few nights for our anniversary and the house was so clean, cozy, and had a spectacular view of the lake. So many little details from the well-stocked Keurig pods (your pick of Starbucks OR Caribou!), to the cozy robes, the toiletries (special towels for make-up removal even), the little snacks on the island, the RTG fire pit, and comfy blankets everywhere!! It was just lovely!!

Perfect getaway retreat
What an absolutely wonderful place!! It was even better than the pictures, and all the little touches had me smiling the whole time I was there. Tabitha thought of everything! Even though it was February and cold, I was able to sit out on the deck and enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and beauty of Lake Superior. Can't imagine a more perfect place than this! I look forward to staying again if my travels take me to Duluth. Thank you!!! :)

Positively Dreamy!
The Carriage House will not disappoint! It truly is every bit as wonderful as you imagine it would be from seeing the pictures. This is by far one of the best, if not THE best, vrbos I have ever stayed in, and I have very high standards. It was impeccably clean! The layout of the home is fantastic and each level is so well-appointed. Perfect balance of bright+modern yet cozy+nostalgic. And the VIEWS! I spent one afternoon reading while watching and listening to the ice-stacking and the lake as it constantly changed throughout the day. I highly recommend this place, and am definitely planning on staying again sometime. Thank you again, Tabitha!

Perfect Getaway in Duluth
Everything was perfect at the Carriage House starting with communication with the host. Upon arrival, we were amazed at how unique and appealing this home was. The quality architectural design and furnishings are superior. It still has a "new home" feel. The views of the lake are spectacular and the location is convenient and safe. Every little detail is executed in a way that made us feel like we were in a luxury rental. I'll be back for sure.

Sublime stay
I had stumbled across this listing a while back but never able to stay here, and my family and I had been to the North Shore during warmer seasons but never during the winter. So as a Christmas gift I thought it would be fun to bring the family and enjoy Lake Superior for an extended weekend knowing that the holidays were going to be crazy busy. The location is ideal. The house is on London Rd which can be busy especially peak season, but during the winter it’s not nearly as loud. You have easy access to everything that Duluth has to offer as well as right at the start of 61 going up the North Shore. Additionally a Super One is amazingly close to get provisions. The house itself is beautiful! It’s extremely comfortable with a perfect view of the Lake so you can see downtown Duluth and ships day and night. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including some basic spices and oil. There are three TVs in the house which we made good use of during the evenings with a Roku to allow you to watch movies or shows with your own streaming services, or you can also Airplay to them as well. The bathrooms come with small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion, along with other items you would typically expect from a high end luxury hotel stay. The beds are very comfortable, even the pullout couch which has a mattress topper. There are lots of unexpected details throughout the house and you can’t beat Tabitha for responsiveness! Book it!

Quick Get away
I needed someplace quiet and peaceful to work on a project. This place was perfect. It was so comfortable, the view was spectacular and it has everything you need. I would highly recommend this house for a get away.

Such a delight
This is the 3rd time we stayed here & I look forward to staying here everytime. Tabitha is responsive and wonderful. The home is immaculate, cozy & close enough to town to grab a few items or dinner. We absolutely love waking up to lake Superior. 😍 If you're looking for a weekend or romantic getaway this is the perfect spot!

Fabulous "Stay-cation Spot" for our family!
This property has it ALL! Stunning views, impeccable decor and flow and beyond. The pictures are exactly what you should expect and more. My husband and his mother stayed for 5 days while they prepared her local property For Sale and it was perfect. All the amenities, even fresh coffee pods! Tabitha was available to answer all my questions, which were very few, promptly. We HIGHLY recommend this house and will for sure be back soon. Thank You!

The best vacation rental we’ve experienced
In a word: simply the best vacation rental we’ve ever experienced. [Ed. note: that’s actually eight words, but it doesn’t change the fact that the sentiment is absolutely true.] The views are stunning, with incredible outdoor space to enjoy them. The kitchen is exceptionally lovely, and it’s well appointed with new appliances and all of the cooking tools you’d need. The bedroom is cozy, with a wonderfully comfortable king bed. And the location is perfect, with easy access to downtown Duluth (including Canal Park, downtown restaurants, and Fitger’s… the last of which is a smidge too idiosyncratic for our liking… and I digress). It truly felt like our own cozy home for the weekend, with exquisite Lake Superior sunrise views awaiting us and our morning cup of coffee. As we left, we said to each other, “We’ve got to stay here again.” I’d recommend it to anyone… just not on the same dates as our next Duluth vacation.

The cottage is the ideal lakeside retreat. Amazing comfort. Every detail thoughtfully addressed. The views are incredible (Sunrise to Sunset). Grocery, spirits and nature hikes are available within walking distance. In town convenience with perfect privacy. Hope to be back soon.

Quiet, Well stocked, with a good view.
The Carriage House was far enough outside of the heart of Duluth to be quiet, but close enough to make excursions a short drive away. The houses amenities were very well thought out. We did not have to make any late night trips to the store for things we did not bring. New London Cafe was very close by and proved a very yummy breakfast location.

Beautiful inside and out!
This property is cozy, calming and has character galore. The interior is so well appointed and the views are incredible! Every detail is carefully curated with form and function in mind. My kids loved all of the nooks and crannies while my husband and I found relaxation in the comfortable furniture and fire ambiance. Despite the rainy weather that kept us from outdoor enjoyment, this was the perfect place to be cooped up. I absolutely loved it here and highly recommend.

Loved it!
The Carriage House is exactly as noted and photographed. It is evident that a lot of thought has been put into the design/layout and creature comforts. We felt at home immediately. Often it is stated that places are walkable from the property but in actuality, that is a stretch. Not the case with the Carriage House. We have stayed at many rental properties and we found the Carriage House to go above our expectations.

Great location, dining or shopping in Duluth minutes away or head up the north shore! Beautiful comfortable cozy home, tastefully decorated. Fell asleep listening to the waves nightly! Absolute Bliss
My husband and I book the carriage house for our eight anniversary it was absolutely perfect! The house itself is located close to everything in Duluth. Very clean with plenty of extra amenities, and the view is the cherry on top! Right on Lake Superior, we did venture out everyday but honestly I could have stayed on the deck the whole time! Tabitha was easy to communicate with and a wonderful host. I highly recommend this place to anyone, we will be going back very soon!!!

The Carriage House was a beautiful spot overlooking Lake Superior. Nice and close to all the fun in Duluth, but removed from the crowds. The house was clean and cozy, with nicely appointed deck and patio for enjoying the lake. Loved it!

Perfect Relaxation Spot!
The house was beautiful and fit our family perfectly! There was a perfect mix of sun and shade on the upper deck, overlooking the lake, that made the whole day enjoyable on the comfortable patio furniture. The location was great—we hiked and biked to Lester Park and nearby beaches. This home renovation was spot on!
