BRAND NEW Solar Powered 3 BR w/ Hot Tub, Scenic Views, w/ Wrap Around Deck.

BRAND NEW solar powered 2BR (king, qu, qu sofa bed in loft, & qu blow-up mattress) true log cabin that’s central to Timberline, Canaan Valley, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Black Water Falls, & more! Beds have luxury mattresses & sheets. Exteriorly there is a wrap around deck w/ hot tub, scenic views, & tame wildlife. Interiorly, is a real stone fireplace, live edge walls, full kitchen/dining, & fireplaces in BR’s. You can escape to peace & quiet & remain connected w/ Starlink Wifi. There are exterior cameras for security purposes. We also use these cameras to know when guests arrive and check out. If these cameras make you feel uneasy, please reach out to me as I can instruct you on how to turn them off during your stay. During winter months, it is mandatory that all guests travel in an AWD/4WD vehicle with good winter tread tires and chains for backup in high snow accumulation. The terrain to the cabin is very windy and steep.

We had the most wonderful stay at this mountain cabin! From the moment we arrived, it felt warm, inviting, and perfectly “cabin-y” in the best way. You can truly tell the hosts care deeply about their guests’ experience — every detail felt thoughtful and intentional.The décor was beautiful and fit the mountain setting so well, and the multiple fireplaces made the space incredibly cozy. It was the perfect place to unwind. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a getaway — it wasn’t lacking in any way.The location was ideal: close to plenty of activities, yet tucked away enough to feel private and secluded. The mountain views were absolutely stunning and made our mornings and evenings extra special.We couldn’t recommend this place more. If you’re looking for the perfect mountain escape, this is it!

This cabin was everything and more. The cabin itself was beautiful, tastefully decorated, very comfortable beds and impeccably clean. The view was stunning. The host was always available and accommodating. There was even a welcoming bag of treats for our little dogs. Can't wait to return to relax in this wonderful space and take in more of the beauty that surrounds it!

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is beautifully styled and thoughtfully curated — every space feels intentional, comfortable, and inviting. It truly feels like a retreat. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept so well each night. The cabin is well stocked with everything you can imagine. The hosts were kind and generous, and allowing us an early check-in was such a thoughtful touch that made our arrival seamless. The property was clean, peaceful, and very well cared for and well stocked. If we could give 10 stars we absolutely would! This cabin is a must-stay — we loved it so much that we will be returning this Christmas

10/10 stay. Clean and beautiful home with everything you need for a weekend! Host was very responsive and checked in - which we really liked! Star gazing from the hot tub and feeding the deer in the morning were certainly highlights. If we return to Seneca Rocks, we will stay here again for sure.

Amazing!

We had such an amazing time at this cabin. It's beautiful inside and has so many nice touches - perfect for a couple's getaway weekend. Everything was very clean. I do suggest having four-wheel drive as the drive up is steep, but Merry Jo and Aaron were very accommodating and escorted us up the mountain so we felt more comfortable. Five stars for sure!

Exactly as advertised, great views and well equipped house

This recently built log home is high on a mountain slope with great views and a hot tub. Wilderness themed 2 bedroom with a sleeping loft and pullout sofa. Stocked kitchen and nice beds with comfortable linens. We played the classic games they had while it rained. Never did use the hot tub, but it looked well maintained.

Lovely, Gracious Hosts

The house is as beautiful as you see in the pictures. No complaints about the house or the amenities whatsoever! Merry Jo thought of everything. I think the real thing that puts this listing ahead of others is how wonderful the hosts are. Merry Jo and her husband are generous and kind. They were attentive and sympathetic when an unexpected snow storm came through! You’re in good hands in this beautiful home.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Mountain Paradise! Our stay at the Labour Of Love Lodge was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings and the breathtaking views of the mountains. The lodge was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated, providing a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern luxury. The Holiday Decorations made us feel like we were in a Hallmark Christmas Movie, especially the 15' Christmas Tree that was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, relaxing in comfort, reconnecting with nature, and creating lasting memories. We loved waking up to the gentle deer at our doorstep and feeding them throughout the day with the deer food that was provided. Merry Jo was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. No detail was left untouched, making this property like no other you will find. From her welcoming note & cookies to her favorite bath & body products she left for us to try (and they did not disappoint). The cozy fireplaces, well-equipped kitchen, stocked pantry, clean and spacious hot tub, dual rain shower heads and comfortable beds made it feel like heaven. We pre-ordered and picked up our meals from Fish Hawk Acres in Buckhannon, a farm to table restaurant/caterer using a curated selection of locally sourced products. A true culinary delight! We look forward to booking our next stay!

This cabin has everything your hearts can desire! Hot Tub, Fire pit, deer, spectacular views. Then the house it’s right out of a HGTV magazine. Merry Jo and Aaron were amazing and so quick to help and respond. Absolutely amazing way to celebrate our anniversary and birthday!

We had the BEST visit. The cabin is gorgeous, cozy, and secluded. My kids had an absolute blast feeding the deer, roasting hotdog on The fire and making s’mores. The vibe of the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Clean, comfy, and just perfect getaway!

Fantastic VRBO in the mountains

We chose WV as our summer road trip destination not knowing much about WV. We needed it to accommodate our four kids as well as our dog, and we needed it to have decent internet so my husband could get a few hours of work done every day. Merry Jo and Aaron have built and maintained a gorgeous home. The interior is decorated beautifully, and the land and views are fantastic. Merry Jo included all these personal little details to make our stay even better, like leaving treats and a toy for our dog, and an entire s’mores kit for our family to utilize around the awesome fire pit. It felt like everything was fully stocked. The semi-tame deer and food to feed them were a huge hit with everyone, especially the kids. Merry Jo was incredibly easy to work with and communication with her was top notch. My family and I would be thrilled to stay at this place again and hope to again some day! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, Merry Jo and Aaron! (As a heads up and as others have mentioned, a 4WD vehicle would probably do better on the hills up to the VRBO vs a 2WD vehicle. Not impossible for our SUV when it wasn’t loaded down with the carrier and all our road-tripping gear, but it got a little dicey for us on the gravel road when we were loaded down hahahah. Totally our fault though, not anyone else’s fault!)

Magical 10th Anniversary in the Mountains

We had a wonderful stay in Merry Jo's cabin to celebrate our 10th anniversary! Yes, it is as awesome as it looks in the pictures! Cabin is very well built, decorated, and beautifully furnished. The location is perfect - nice views of the mountains, private, but also not too far off in the wilderness. There are also plenty of activities to do within a 30-40min drive; hiking trails, distilleries, small town shops, etc. We will be back next year with our kids!

Magnificent views

My husband and I booked this stay to get out of the city and relax and it did not disappoint. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed sitting outside taking in the view, drinking coffee on the gliders on the back porch. When i rained, we still enjoyed sitting outside because of the covered porches. It was amazing to sit in the hot tub at night and watch the stars. The deer came up every night and our six year old was in awe of them; she had never seen a deer up close. We enjoyed playing board games and honestly, just getting away from it all. The hosts were amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We look forward to returning for another stay to explore the area more.

Beautiful scenic views

We thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay. Deer came to visit every day. Plenty of games. Small details made a big difference such as amazingly soft sheets and pillows. Merry Jo was very easy to touch base with amd very communicative.

Breath Taking!

My best friend and I take a road trip once a year and this cabin was the perfect place to stay! The views were incredible, the house was meticulously cleaned and well stocked and the best part was we got to bring our dogs. If you love the outdoors, love the mountains and quiet this is the perfect place. Merry Jo was very responsive and a great host! We definitely want to come back!

Perfect Winter Weekend getaway

We find ourselves returning to Canaan Valley more & more, for the outdoor activities and change of pace and now we’re so pleased to have found this idyllic spot to stay! This cabin is above and beyond, literally and figuratively. The views are fabulous, kitchen well stocked, comfortable great room for gathering friends and family, and nicely appointed bedrooms & bathrooms. The cabin is clean, beautifully designed and decorated and full of special touches. We arrived just before a snowstorm & were happy to soak in the hot tub on a snowy evening! We had the winter wonderland we had hoped for - skied & boarded Timberline and snowshoed in Canaan. As the owner advises, you need 4WD and good snow tires!! The road was challenging, but doable if you take it easy & have the right vehicle. The owner, Merry Jo, got right back to me when I had questions & everything worked out perfectly. Memories were made, we have stories to be told and we hope to make it back very soon.

Short mountain getaway

Fantastic view of the west Virginia mountains. Host was great to communicate with and kind. She had a cheesecake for my mom who was celebrating her 88th birthday. It was fabulous! Thanks for the relaxing quality time with mom.

Great place to visit!

We had a small group of friends stay here and we had a blast! The setup is great for some grilling, cornhole and a campfire all with a great view! I highly recommend staying here.
