"Great location and interesting layout in this historic house. It was the perfect respite for our stay before our puffin tour the next day and close to town for a concert on the common and restaurants. Note : to access one of the bedrooms you need to go through the bathroom, but it worked out fine. Dmitri was super communicative and was kind enough to let us know we left a pair of shoes there after we departed. "The property was as advertised. Though we only stayed one night, we enjoyed the peaceful evening and morning, and enjoyed taking the kayak/paddle board out on the lake.House was very clean and the owner was very responsive to our questions both before booking and during our stay."

"This was a perfect slice of heaven. The peaceful sound of nature along side the beauty of the outdoors.Just far enough away to feel like you are hours away from a store but in reality it’s really only 10 minutes away. We will definitely be returning. "

"Check in was easy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked down to a lobster pot to our delight.The setting is beautiful and we very much enjoyed the two level deck. There is a bit of a hike to get to the river. All and all a very peaceful relaxing location. We had 9 adults and 4 children and were very comfortable."

"Beautiful views. The children (11 and 13) loved using the kayaks. A huge spacious room with many amenities and very clean. The steps leading down to the door might be a challenge for someone with limited mobility. "

"We loved are stay at this beautiful rustic oceanfront home. The large windows along the entire ocean side of the house were a highlight. We view of water, boats, wildlife; sounds of waves on the rocks right outside; and ocean air were at once both invigorating and peaceful. "We have stayed lots of places in midcoast Maine and this was our favorite! It is such a peaceful part of the lake - the stars at night were unbelievable, as was the chorus of loons! We really loving taking the kayaks out. "This home is situated on a quiet street, but within a half-mile walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and puffin cruise piers. The house is comfortable and well-equipped, with several nice extras. The house was very clean when we arrived. The location is perfect, and we enjoyed sitting outside by the cove."

"We totally enjoyed our stay -walking distance to shops and restaurants."

"As advertised, except for the "walking distance to downtown." It's over a mile, no sidewalks, very hilly bendy road, difficult for cars and the plethora of work trucks to see you. We had some elderly folks planning to stroll into town, but that was a hard no. Maybe ok if you're young and active, but certainly don't plan on safely walking home at night. Otherwise, a pleasant old place. "
