"This was our third time staying at the Buttercup Hideaway. We have always come in the fall to enjoy the cool weather, fall colors and quiet. The host has always been quick to communicate. The fireplace is nice for the cooler evenings. We brought books, DVDs and puzzles to help us decompress from work. It's especially nice to wake up to a beautiful lake view."

"Hands down, the best travel experience I have had to date! I used to spend summers at this lake at a resort, in a cabin. I was sad when that was sold off as private lots. I stumbled upon this and took a chance and it blew me away! The ease of working with the hosts and the cleanliness were both top notch, but the service…. Exceptional. We had two 12 year old boys and this is a trip they will never forget. The fishing was amazing and when I say we caught at least 100 fish, I’m being conservative....

"My parents, my husband, son and I stayed at this farmhouse for two nights while we explored the area around Kensington where my parents grew up in the 1930's. The location is super beautiful and peaceful. We loved watching the birds feed, the deer, and all of the flowers and trees. The quiet was spectacular. We also saw sandhill cranes, trumpeter swans and other wildlife. The house was so clean and had everything we could want. The kitchen was so well stocked with dishes and other amenities....
