"I'm a local and this is the best way to escape. The facilities are immaculate, just like it was still brand new. It's slow season here, I can't tell except for fewer guest. They remain fully staffed and everywhere I look staff is busy, friendly and friendly efficient. The relaxation felt here is worth the price. It's about my sixth time. I'll be back.... "The Sunset Inn was a wonderful choice for our overnight in Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte. It's a great location right across the street from Charlotte Harbor and close to everything we wanted to do in Punta Gorda. The Inn's property is beautifully landscaped and well kept. The suite is very clean, the bed very comfortable and the mini kitchen area had everything needed for cooking (although we ate out the entire weekend.) The back patio was a highlight—we loved relaxing there each night and playing cards.
