"My husband turned 40 this year and decided it was time to take the UP trip he’s been dreaming of. We decided to try a VRBO instead of a hotel as we wanted something homie feeling for the last couple days of our trip. This place was perfection. Enough space for us to spread out but still enjoy time together. Close to tons of different shops and restaurants to explore and in driving distance of Copper Harbor! We loved every minute of our stay and are already trying to figure out when we will...

"My wife and I (and our 2 dogs) came again to this wonderful spot that we've enjoyed for the third time.We relaxed, hiked, kayaked, and visited some of our favorite spots. It was wonderful as always!"

"Can’t say enough good things about this place! It looked even better in person and the mission of the owners to redo this old building are admirable. Coffee center had everything needed including drinks in the refrigerator and snacks. Beds were super comfortable and bathroom had all the amenities. If it those who appreciate the past but can’t give up present day amenities, this is your place. "

"We stayed in the upper peninsula for five nights in this very well equipped cottage. It was unbeatable for the price and served nicely as a base of exploration. It’s about a 12 mile driving into Houghton and we were a little surprised at the remoteness of the property. But if you are looking for a scenic, peaceful experience, this is it."

"Cabin was clean and cozy, property was gorgeous and the whole family was blown away by the stars and just enjoying the silence and sounds of nature. Definitely will be back when we visit the penninsula again. A around, highly recommend!"

"This was a lovely place to stay for our family vacation. The sunsets were amazing. The beach was relaxing with the fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The house itself was very clean and well-stocked for cooking our family meals. The king-size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. There was no air conditioning, but there were fans stored in the closets to use. The house does sit close to the road, but it wasn’t a problem. The traffic was minimal. It is quiet and peaceful."

"The started off a little rocky, but our host was most helpful. We enjoyed wonderful weather (even thunderstorms in the UP are amazing), saw unmatched natural beauty, and managed to find a few special rocks. We definitely will come back."

"Perfect. We've stayed at many lovely homes in the area, and Da Barn ranks right up there as a favorite!"

"We stayed at this VRBO during a Hockey Tournament in Calumet. It was clean and plenty of room for a family of 4. The kitchen had everything we needed and there is a little store a short walk away. The house was in a great location close to the rink and it was very easy to communicate with the host. Thanks you!!"
