Formerly a boat store serving the village of Léhon, we offer a unique accommodation experience. We love the location of our gite, situated along the picturesque banks of the river Rance. You can appreciate riverside vistas from our lounge and sun-drenched south-facing outdoor terrace throughout the day.

Nestled in the Côtes d'Armor, our gite offers an idyllic escape where you can rejuvenate, unwind, and create cherished memories. Once you've experienced the enchanting charm of Léhon, recognised as a Petite Cité de Caractère, and explored the awe-inspiring medieval town of Dinan just moments away, you'll find that a piece of your heart remains here forever.

Léhon village has preserved cobbled streets, ornate facades, general all-round beauty and protected character. On every street, you can observe the pretty stone buildings, coloured doors and floral displays, making it a village you will never forget! In the village, you'll find a fabulous bakery (boulangerie L’Arome Sucre), a butcher’s shop and a one-of-a-kind outdoor swimming pool, all conveniently located within walking distance of our gite. The pool remains open throughout the year, offering a fantastic retreat for enjoying the warmth of summer and the crispness of winter alike!

We thoroughly enjoy our daily stroll to L’Arome Sucre, where a delightful assortment of breads and pastries awaits, crafted with a deep respect for tradition, expertise, and premium-quality flour. For lunchtime, treat yourself to a selection of sandwiches made with homemade bread and locally sourced ingredients, or relish in freshly made soups, empanadas, tartines, and quiches, each prepared with the freshest ingredients available.

On the lower level, our enchanting converted boathouse awaits, perfect for gatherings of family and friends who cherish each other's company. Nestled in the captivating village of Léhon, Quai du Val offers a spacious open-plan living area, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, large breakfast/entertaining island, a delightful conservatory doubling as a dining space and a lounge area boasting breath-taking views of the River Rance. It's an ideal setting for culinary delights, shared meals and serene relaxation.

Capable of comfortably accommodating seven adults, the lounge at our property features generous seating arrangements including large and medium-sized sofas, along with two cosy armchairs paired with footstools for added relaxation. Entertainment options abound with a large flat-screen Smart TV offering a selection of French and English channels, a DVD player stocked with an array of films suitable for all ages, as well as a collection of books and games. Stay connected with Wi-Fi connectivity throughout.

Transitioning to the conservatory-turned-dining space, a spacious table awaits, providing seating for up to seven guests. Against a picturesque backdrop, this setting is ideal for enjoying meals or simply soaking in the sunset. Additionally, Bluetooth speakers are available in both the dining space and lounge, allowing you to enjoy your favourite music throughout these areas.

Step through the elegant French doors of the lounge onto the charming south-facing walled deck, where panoramic views of the riverside landscape unfold before you. Additionally, there is also access to our private mature garden adjacent to the house and a private gated driveway with parking space for two cars, ensuring convenience and privacy throughout your stay.

Our private mature garden is accessed via the French doors from the kitchen and is furnished with comfortable seating around a spacious table for seven, accompanied by an adjustable parasol and two sun loungers and a barbeque. This idyllic setting is ideal for enjoying breakfast in the warm morning rays, treating yourself to mouth-watering pastries from the nearby bakery, just a leisurely 6-minute stroll away. It's the perfect way to begin your day! Additionally, there's a fully equipped utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board/iron, garden airers, and two bicycles at your disposal.

Upstairs, you'll find three delightful bedrooms, each adorned with vaulted ceilings and charming beams, accommodating a total of seven guests. The sizeable master bedroom boasts stunning river views through a unique circular window and features a Super-King size bed, perfect for a blissful holiday awakening. Additionally, this bed can be transformed into two single beds for added flexibility.

The remaining two bedrooms offer ample space, with one situated at the rear of the property containing a double bed and a single bed, accommodating up to three people. The other bedroom provides a peaceful view of the private garden and includes a king-size bed. All bedrooms come complete with ample hanging and storage space, mirrors, bedside lamps, and blackout curtains, ensuring a restful night's sleep for all guests.

Stargazing at Quai du Val is an enchanting experience, made possible by our location's dark skies and minimal light pollution. Whether you're an avid astronomer or just someone who enjoys the beauty of the night sky, our setting offers fantastic opportunities to observe the celestial wonders above.

Don't forget to tune in to the wise musings of our village owls as you drift off to sleep! Brittany's nocturnal charm is enhanced by the presence of several owl species. These magnificent creatures contribute to the region's biodiversity, enriching its night-time landscapes with their unique calls and captivating presence.

1. **Medieval Dinan**: Medieval Dinan stands proudly as one of Brittany's most impeccably preserved small towns. Resting atop the banks of the Rance River, it has 3 kilometers of formidable ramparts, captivating half-timbered houses, and an abundance of enticing art galleries and craft shops. Its meandering cobbled streets are adorned with delightfully crooked and creaking structures that evoke the essence of the Middle Ages. Maison chaleureuse
Nous avons passé de belles vacances à Léhon et ses environs. La maison est chaleureuse et pratique. Très touchés par l’accueil ( déco de Noël, sapin, panier garni et table dressée pour le réveillon). Juste dommage que la maison se trouve près d’une route.

Wonderful visit
Really well put together property with a beautiful view. We had a great time with 2 young children visiting local attractions and the beach. Being English and having an English host helps with questions whilst we were there. Would recommend.

We stayed for a week in August and all had a fabulous time. The house is very clean and comfortable and very well equipped. The location is great and the bikes a real bonus to enable us to cycle along the tow path to Dinan - it was very easy to hire additional bikes too. Some wonderful beaches around 20 mins away which are simply stunning and definitely worth a visit. We love this particular area of Brittany and wouldn’t hesitate to come back her again. Regards Nicki

La maison est très agréable et fonctionnelle.Elle est surtout idéalement placée et exposée.Nombreuses balades à faire en partant à pied du gite.... Les + sont: La vue,le confort de la maison,son lieu ,les vélos mis à disposition.... la proprietaire est à l écoute et très arrangeante.

Les Côtes d’Armor même sous la pluie
La propriété est située à Lehon avec vue sur la Rance. Sa position permet de visiter facilement Dinan (centre historique accessible à pied pour les marcheurs), Saint Malo, Dinard, Cancale, le Mont Saint Michel … La maison est spatieuse, très joliment décorée et dispose de tout les équipements. Les propriétaires laissent à disposition des locataires les produits de base (condiments, produit vaisselle…) ce qui n’est pas souvent vrai ailleurs. Deux vélos à disposition permettent des balades le long de la Rance. Super séjour en famille ou entre amis a recommander pour les amoureux de la farniente, les sportifs (marche-course-vélo-canoës-kayaks -paddle) et ceux qui veulent visiter la ville

Excellente location très bien située
La maison est très bien conçue et agencée. 3 chambres joliment décorées et un immense salon avec partie cuisine. Une belle vue sur la Rance avec son sentier piétonnier. Terrasse sur le côté très sympa et sans vis-à-vis. La véranda est très agréable, donnant sur un champ. L’emplacement est idéal pour découvrir cette région splendide : Dinan et la Côte d’Emeraude, de St Malo au Cap Fréhel. On peut garer la voiture dans l’allée de la maison devant la véranda, ce qui est bien pratique. Petit bémol sur la circulation qui était dense devant la maison, peut-être due au fait que le port de Dinan était inaccessible aux voiture en été et augmentait donc le traffic par Léhon ? La terrasse devant a un potentiel mais mériterait d’être un peu plus aménagée. La boulangerie est proche et excellente (il vaut mieux commander la veille si vous n’êtes pas matinaux). Sharon avait gentiment déposé un panier de bienvenue bien rempli à notre intention et un joli bouquet de roses. Sue et elle ont répondu très rapidement par mail à chacune de nos questions. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse !
