Communication with Robert was ongoing with quick responses. The decor was in keeping with a mountain/bear theme. The location made our treks to hiking trailheads quick and easy. Clear instructions. "Misty Mountains, just beautiful! Best hosts I have ever come across. You feel really welcome by all the personal touches throughout. Checked all my boxes, such as good shower pressure, comfy bed, linens and great pillows. Well stocked kitchen. Centrally located with tons to do. After a rain, we saw 7 turkeys come out to dry their feathers. We didn't find the road too bad but can see why an AWD is recommended and no low riders. We will return )"

"Amazing and beautiful home with so many wonderful places to hang out. The interior was very well appointed. The colors, the lighting, the dimmer switches, the well-appointed kitchen, and the views from every window made for a beatiful time. Super comfortable furniture and bed. It was just two of us and this just perfect. The photos show it as it us but the experience was so much better. A truly lovely home. We even bought the same chairs they have by the fire pit for our fire area. Amazing!"

"The mountain house was nicely furnished. Great artwork & decor - while a rustic log home, it was "mountain chic" and a nice change from kitschy. My husband & our two dogs enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was clean & so relaxing with great mountain views. The view from the back deck was amazing. The rocking chairs were comfy & the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The cabin also has a charcoal grill & fire pit & cornhole/games. While you are surrounded by trees with no neighbors...

"The Nest is a perfect place to stay in the highlands. This place was better than what the pictures showed. They do an incredible job decorating and providing a peaceful, relaxing experience. It is walking distance to all shops in town. David is quick to respond and his instructions on check in were very easy to follow. We will be booking this property for all our future trips to the highlands. "
