We were able to check in early so that was great. Upon entering the room, as soon as we turned the bathroom light on, it went off. We were in the room for an hour and the light had gone out 3 times. The staff said there were electrical issues. When returning to the room after an event around midnight, the light was working but went right out after turning on. Maintenance was not available that late. We did not have a bathroom light the entire stay. We were using our phone flashlights.
I was told by the manager that someone was supposed to had provided emergency lights during the evening which did not happen. There was no offering of another room, only a 25% discount and Hilton points. The manager told me that they were aware that the particular room had electrical issues. I requested a full refund which I have not received as of 8/16/25. My stay was 8/8/25. The manager requested that I update my Google review, it's not happening. They could've canceled my credit card transaction for my refund. The customer service was terrible at the local hotel. I did file a claim with Hilton.
Overall, The Hampton hotel was standard, breakfast available in the morning and the location was close to restaurants, about a 10 minute drive.
