"My friend and I were excited to get away during the New years week. We got everything from warm mid 40s to 6 inches of snow and low 20s. We were looking for a cozy cabin with a fireplace/stove and some outdoors for our dog. This was exactly what we wanted. "We were in town for a wedding at the Chestnut Inn. We needed a place that was close to the Inn because our 9 month old granddaughter was staying behind with her grandpa. It was an excellent choice as there was plenty of space for everyone to be together or to get some privacy/quiet if needed. "The lake is beautiful and provides activities, the goats are very cute, the house was clean and comfortable, with A/C, plenty of hot water and water pressure for showers, and space for our things. Just what we wanted for a family long weekend with 3 generations. The owners were very responsive. The deck is in desperate need of a coat of paint and some other maintenance though - hopefully the owners can do some upkeep on the outdoor space soon. "

"Would recommend to anyone. Our family stayed here in 2014. Upgrades on furniture since then we're great. Beds were all comfort, which is huge for us since we used them all. Three generations of us enjoyed the property, house and that fantastic view. What was our family farm (1940’s) could be seen across the valley making it extra special. Thank you to our awesome hosts. Your place allowed us to gather together for a tough weekend."
