"My cousins and I very much enjoyed our 2nd stay at the Matteson’s rental cabin. It’s the perfect home base for a trip to Old Forge. It has everything you need - comfy beds, a nice bathroom with shower, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker, and a fire pit. We were grateful for the air conditioning too. Bridget is a kind and responsive host. We hope to come back ASAP! :)"

"This place was so adorable and had literally everything we needed for a fun week. Kind of a bummer that we had to bring our own sheets and towels, and there were some wet/moldy towels in the bunk room when we arrived (and also a random pair of wool socks?), but other than that we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We put the kids in the bunk room so the adults could have some peace, and it worked out great. Supposedly there is beach access for the lake with this property, but we never...

"We were initially hesitant as the property had no reviews but that's only because Pat is just starting to rent it out, so definitely don't let that stop you. In fact, book now before the word on this hidden gem gets out. The house is immaculate and modern but designed with a lodge feel and many cute details throughout. "Perfect mountain cabin with all the amenities. Tastefully decorated. Very cute place for a romantic or escape vacation. Short walk to the lake front. Use of good kayaks and life vests. Panfish, bass, and pike in the lake. (I caught some). Backyard with a fire pit and torch lights. Other fire pit on your private water front. Property manager was very cool. Quiet and peaceful hideaway the way you want it. Few miles south of Old Forge. "

"Last minute, one night stay to take advantage of the snow while it lasted this season. Price was fair and was the perfect location to just jump on the snowmobile and ride. Cabin is well appointed and cozy - also very clean. Deborah was an excellent communicator and allowed us an early check in. When we had a couple of questions, she answered right away. We will definitely consider staying again."
