"Our room was not cleaned and we had to call to get service that still took too long to come. There was some water in the room coming from the ceiling, they didnt even try to fix it or offered to change rooms. The guy who came to clean the water, did it with our bathroom mat and then put it back in our bathroom! Our laundry was not delivered in time and we had to call 4-5x for them to bring it. "Simple but spacious and clean rooms, with comfortable bed and good wifi. Large modern pool area, fantastic to cool down after a day out on safari. The included breakfast was plenty and very delicious and changed from day to day. Unfortunately, the chef for dinner was not available when we were there but we found good and cheap dinner locations just minutes away. "

"La Pentera is a unique property and it is conveniently located around 30 minutes drive to the entrance of the Udawalawe National Park. Our host is very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond our expectations and making sure we have the best time in the property. The evening walk around the lake area is awesome, and the hammocks, swings and mini rock climb is nice too. We had our best Sri Lankan cuisine in this resort, the chicken curry is full of flavours and spices. Definitely recommend...

"Very clean room.Lovely pool. The hotel is out of the way near the river. We loved the tranquil setting. Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. The only negative thing I would say is they could do with upgrading the recliners by the pool. "
