"The property was 10/10, hot tub overlooking the lake, stocked firewood, lots of kids activities to offer. The only downfall was my dad had a very difficult time getting to the bathroom in his wheelchair, the hallways and bathroom very tight to be classified as “wheelchair accessible” The ramp is doable with assistance up and the entrance was very wide with open floor plan through the living room and into the kitchen. If staying and in a wheelchair, you may be struggle a bit."

"Liked how close it was to Itasca State Park!"

"We stayed for our recent trip to visit the Mississippi Headwaters. Located across the street from the entrance road. Headwaters are about a 5 minute drive.The room is as advertised. Everything looks freshly remodeled. The beds are comfy and everything is very clean. It is very quiet and the TV channel selection is exceptional."

"We spent a week at a cozy cabin near Waubun, MN, on Elbow Lake, and it was a fantastic experience. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We did encounter a small issue with the septic system, but the owner responded promptly and went above and beyond by offering a large refund for the inconvenience without us even asking. Their attentiveness and accommodation made our stay even better. Highly recommended!"

"We had a relaxing, fun stay at this quiet, comfortable cabin. It has a good view of the lake and the large kitchen island was great. Newer appliances & a wonderful air conditioning unit. The lower level was being remodeled so we did not use that space. Would stay here again."

"There is nothing about this place that isn’t absolutely beautiful in every way. The home was unique and so comfortable, decorated and finished with such care. The location, so remote and quiet. The 360°views from the upstairs deck, numerous windows or just walking around the carefully landscaped yard were amazingly beautiful! "Drop dead gorgeous lake without the jammed, crowded lake houses so many other Minnesota lakes offer. Unique island location. The sauna was immensely popular with everyone. Special feeling to float in the lake at night after the sauna experience. Armada of toys and games kept the young ones engaged. Kayaks and paddle boards. Two fridges were ever so helpful when you have a party of 12 as we did. Communication with the host was lightning-fast and friendly. The island is a magnet for fish. Overall,...

"The cabin was cozy with a nice view of the lake. The cabin was very clean! The swim beach was disappointing to us because it was weed-free a little way out, but past our waist there were too many weeds for us to tread water. Sheila (the host) was informative and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. "
