"Stayed 2 nights with husband and 2 kids while visiting Mackinac Island. The hotel is an excellent location. While there is a free shuttle available to take you to one of the ferry docks, it is a quick 10 minute walk, so we walked there and back. There a few dining options and an ice cream shop nearby within walking distance as well, although most seem to close early in the evenings. The hotel is a collection of 4 hotel buildings (all named after the great lakes) and the Reception/pool building....

"A lovely hotel with helpful staff and nice amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub and indoor pool upon arrival. We were early for our reservation but the staff was accommodating and let us use the facilities until our room was ready. We were checked in 3 hours early which was wonderful after a long morning of traveling. The staff continued to be of assistance throughout our stay. Every request was met with a smile and immediate action. The convenient location and beautiful views are well worth it....

"I love a hotel that actually services your room everyday, unless you ask them not to! So refreshing to not have to go get more towels or coffee etc. Upon check out I forgot all of my jewelry in the nightstand and called the hotel, the front desk went to the room, found the jewelry and assured me it would be in the mail the next day when I emailed a prepaid postage label. "Beautiful location, adorable front porch with rocking chairs. Friendly staff. I would recommend bringing your luggage from ferry to hotel. Ours took almost 2 hours to get to us. They couldn’t find it, brought us someone else’s luggage and in addition our room wasn’t ready at check in. But once we were settled in we had a nice time. "

"Arrived about 5 hours early before check-in. Even with the craziness of the holiday weekend, they were able to get me checked in 3 hours earlier than anticipated. Room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Hotel was located close to downtown St. Ignace, and had quick access to the bridge. Which allowed us to beat a lot of the traffic going back south. Breakfast was great, service was great, we will definitely be back!"
