"A week at the Hilltop Retreat was great…a month would have been better. This quaint little cottage provided a cozy but plentiful space for our family of four. We enjoyed the large, open yard, with plenty of room for outdoor activities, and the beautiful ocean view while sitting and drinking coffee every morning. We made great use of the golf clubs, kayaks and bicycles. The cottage provided a great base for us while we explored the south shore. We hope to visit again very soon!"

"We go away every summer with another couple and have been to a number of properties in the Maritime region.This property was exceptional! Spotless and stocked with all of the essentials and then some! Plenty of dishes, cutlery, towels, bedding etc. The extra kitchen supplies were a great addition.The property offers a great indoor layout (bright and spacious), great outdoor seating spaces and views. "Had a lovely stay. Hot tub and sauna were a welcome relief on a couple of cold, snowy days. The view of the ocean through the snow was nice. The stairs are a little steep but manageable. Everything you need is there. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you."

"We enjoyed our stay at the apple orchard cottage. The house was spacious and had lots of character. Natasha was quick to respond to any questions I had. Only comment as others have mentioned was that we did find it hot upstairs while sleeping. Thankfully Natasha has a big standing fan in each room which helped somewhat. The location was fantastic being just a short drive into Lunenburg and other south shore locations including the Lahave ferry to enjoy the shops and bakery there. We also enjoyed...

We loved the open concept, updated modern furniture, strong wifi and quiet location - away from the hustle and tourist bustle, yet still close to beaches and local attractions. "This cottage is straight out of a movie. Situated in a quaint fishing village on a private property overlooking the rocky coast, it was exactly what I imagined it would be. It is pretty typical to be a little let down once you arrive at a vacation rental because the pictures usually make it look more impressive than it actually is. That was not our experience with the Whalesback cottage. The pictures included in the VRBO listing are an accurate representation of this property.The cottage was...

"Lots of amenities. Owners very helpful in recommending local restaurants. Enjoyed finding mussels and sea glass on the little beach as well as the antics of the "rock" beavers. The heated pool was a plus. Absolutely wonderful views of the bay."

"Not much in the area and the tents didn’t seem to offer a view like the pictures. Diesel heater was difficult to understand, had to turn it in and off to regulate heat throughout the night. Didn’t receive instructions on how to use it "

"Lived in Mahone Bay for a while in 1981. Still such a picturesque town and beautiful coastline to explore.The lovely unit of Pam and David’s was clean, comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated. Fully equipped kitchen, short walk to the main town. Private and elegant, parking, good Wifi, felt like home. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights."
