"We really liked the convenience factor for the wedding we were attending in Eridge. The rooms (x3) were basic with a king bed ( a Superking would have fitted) , two old looking arm chairs ( from a care home?) a VERY modern glass desk and modern oak headboard. The paint colours on the walls were nice, but the carpet was a sort of light charcoal (sensible rather than pretty) and the huge Roman blind was a strong cream with two strips of dark brown either side. "I stayed at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Hotel for nearly two weeks, which gave me a very complete perspective of the experience.
The room was spacious and comfortable, making it pleasant for a longer stay. However, the hotel was undergoing renovations during my visit, which unfortunately impacted the overall experience. There were days without hot water, days without water at all, and even days without heating — which was quite inconvenient.

"Nous avons aimé le côté prestigieux des lieux.
Petit déjeuner buffet très bien.
Repas au bar apprécié.

"Overall we were happy with our stay. The outside if the hotel and grounds are pretty, the food in the evening and morning was to a very high standard. We stayed in a very good sized suite, which pleasantly surprisingly had 2 bathrooms with matching showers, toilet and bath. On the whole, the staff were polite and accommodating to our requests.

"We booked Hempstead House for a relaxing night away, but instead spent the evening listening to a wedding reception directly beneath our room. The loud music, guests partying in the courtyard and noise from people returning to their rooms meant we had a very poor night’s sleep.

"The room was hotter than the sun, the fan provided did nothing and even the floor felt hot. The towels and sink had hairs on them. The room had one plug socket and it was nowhere near the bed. The temperature of the shower couldn’t be controlled, it was extremely hot in the room so I turned on only the cold tap and when I switched it to shower it would still come out hot and change temperature frequently and I couldn’t control it."
