"Joel let us know that morning that an eruption had started. We were able to see it and have a fabulous stay without worrying about rushing back. The condo was great, very clean and as advertised. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others"

"This house was perfect for easy access to The National Park. Golf course was even closer, but didn’t have time to hit it. Beautiful area and great updated house was perfect for our 4 and could hold 6 easily. Great clear communications. Would happily stay there again!"

"The Volcano Home has a rugged sense of utility in its architecture, without losing a hint of homeliness or convenience. The area itself is quite rural, with gravel road crisscrossing dense rainforest. The hosts stock the kitchen, bath, and rooms with plenty of conveniences that might have been forgotten."

"We arrived just before sunset.Ron's directions were spot on. Keep your eyes open for the red gravel driveway. The place was spotless and very spacious. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances. Farm sink, mini frig and 2 burner hot plate. The bathroom was beautifully done with a chiseled stone sink with rain shower and beautiful tile and river rock. Definitely rock. base. Plenty of water"

"My partner and I loved this very unique property. The outdoor shower, and being totally surrounded by nature, listening to the coqui frogs at night, and enjoying a fire in the evening. Would definitely recommend for a tranquil setting!"

"This was a great spot to stay as our home base while we explored the Big Island. Great location- central to everything we wanted to do on the Hilo side (about an hour from VNP, and within an hour of several waterfalls). Easily the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in, and the added bonus of a gate made us feel safe and secure. If we return to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again! "

"Cute & Cozy Cottage very close to Volcanoes National Park. Only stayed for 1 night but wished we stayed longer to be able to use the fire pit. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 1 child. Loved being able to have the windows open and listen to the sounds of the coqui frogs."

"The owners or care takers (I don't know who exactly they were) were kind and tried to help us when we asked. The decorations are a nice touch and seemed clean. It is located where it rains a lot, so expect a lot of humidity. The windows were open when we walked in (the windows do have screens), I'm guessing the windows were kept open to keep the place cool and comfortable. There is a fan in the bedroom and living room, but the fan in the living room will only stay on if the light stays on,...

"We loved the location of this beautiful home. It was cozy and updated. The frogs at night were a welcome change to the construction and noise of Other hotel guests in Kona. Communication was great and it felt like we got a great deal . I would definitely stay here again."

"Although I was unable to stay, my daughter stayed there and said it was quiet and private and the place felt loaded with history. She said when she first pulled up, she thought she was moving into a mansion. I wasn’t there, so I’m not sure until you book it and see it for yourself, Mahalo!"
