"I never feel disappointed at this hotel. The beds are comfortable and the breakfasts are fantastic with an excellent range of dishes. The lockers in the spa do need some attention though and the sauna in the ladies’ changing room has no internal handle. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It remains really good value for a stopover "

"As a football fan, it was great to stay at a place with such a close association to the professional game. The grounds and buildings there were very grand and impressive. I stayed at the main house with a sprawling set up providing space for work on my laptop and a big bathroom with a cracking shower. I decided to use the gym which was functional but somewhat underwhelming considering the backdrop. "Room was nice. Comfy bed, nice shower. Wifi was a bit sketchy if we had more than one device on the go. "

"I wasnt a fan of the overuse of air freshner in the room. It was overpowering. Generally, the room was looking a bit tired. The staff were very nice and worked hard to make the stay pleasant. Dinner was good."

"The room was very clean , staff were very friendly. Only disappointment was total lack of drawers and very little wardrobe space. Geared more to 1-2 night stays and we were there for 6. Great food and really lovely setting"

"Our stay at the vine was lovely, Pros convenient right in the centre, Loverly friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, tea coffee facilities. Cons, steep narrow stairs upto the top floor, really squeaky floor boards in the room kept waking others up in the room when getting up to use the bathroom in the night. Second time I’ve stayed and would definitely visit again. "
