"Lovely hotel, restaurant, bar, in an excellent location for shopping etc in Rye. Very good value for money. There is no free car parking but the pay & display/RINGO is immediately next door and less than a tenner a day. We can highly recommend this hotel."

"The grounds are stunning with so much potential but it feels very much a work in progress. We used paddle boards on the lake, which was fab but an additional charge on top of a very expensive room. The sauna wasn’t quite up to heat, we stoked the wood burning hot tub for a dip, tried the lake to cool off and the cold plunge was unfortunately empty. The room was nice and clean. "Lovely Hotel at the top of Rye close to the church and the castle. Staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent with a large choice of items from continental and cooked food avaliiable plus hot drinks or juices.Our room was clean and comfortable perfect for our long weekend stay. "The hotel is well situated in the high street. There is parking (albeit limited). Staff on arrival was pleasant but I didn’t see anyone after that. Old building so floors ( including stairs) were uneven and there was no lift. Not a problem for me but I would imagine not everyone could get upstairs. I was in room 19, top of building. No air con but there was a fan in the room. I was on my own but the room was a bit of a tight fit if a couple were in there. Bed linen and towels very clean....
