We didn’t use the restaurant but the bar staff were very high on service and make beautiful cocktails. There is a lovely bar on the top floor with views over the marina. "I had made a call prior to check in to request parking, advised to get there early and ask at desk. This was incorrect and there were no spaces available. At 15.12, after standing in a queue for over 15 mins I am told my room was not ready, the manager came out and was totally disinterested in me as a customer, but found one that would be in another 5 mins. "The location is excellent - so close to the castle and cathedral. There are two very good real ale pubs just down the road and plenty of restaurants nearby. We were lucky enough to get free parking the whole of the week. The weather was hot, so air-conditioning would have been nice, although its a listed building so probably a challenge."

Check-in was confusing with key boxes on the wall for each room, but access is via the key coded digital front door lock. "Fantastic location, only a short walk to the Castle, Cathedral and older parts of the City, avoiding the Steep Hill. Added bonus is to have parking on site, albeit a little bit of parking jenga at times having to move cars around to accommodate other guests wanting / needing to move. Staff are very nice as were the other guests who you sit with in the shared tables at breakfast."
