"Lovely and handy for the castle for an event. However at £200 a night I would expect Aircon or at least a fan in the room. There were no cups for tea in the room. Despite 34degree temps and asking twice all we were offered was a small fan. Bed was comfy but as it was unprecedentedly hot it was difficult to sleep. Not the hotels fault that it was so warm but really they should cater for paying guests. The bar snacks were very poor, calamari was inedible and for £18 I expected more that 5 falafel,...

"Although the Hotel looks a little tired and in need of some updating, our room was fine. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The Lincoln relies heavily on it's position at the top of the town and behind the Cathedral. It was also very useful to be able to park at the back with no worries."

"I had made a call prior to check in to request parking, advised to get there early and ask at desk. This was incorrect and there were no spaces available. At 15.12, after standing in a queue for over 15 mins I am told my room was not ready, the manager came out and was totally disinterested in me as a customer, but found one that would be in another 5 mins. "The hotel was in a great location for the town and plenty of free parking outside. We stayed in a standard family room 108. We stayed in the summer and the room was sweltering. You can hardly open the windows so there is no air circulating and no air conditioned. They did supply a tiny fan but it didn't really help. The bed and towels were very clean. But the overall room felt dusty and old and could do with some work. There were stains all over the walls and ceiling, the paintwork and walls...
