"Lovely old hotel, faded elegance. Needs a refresh, weeds growing out of gutters. The lift soon went out of action, not a problem for us but difficult for elderly and infirm residents. Near the ballroom the glass roof had lots of serious cracks and smelt of damp. Loads of space in the car park. These are observations not criticisms. We did enjoy our stay."

"We are a family of 5 so stayed in the party suite as would otherwise need 2 rooms. It was absolutely superb. So spacious with loads of amenities. Best hotel room we’ve ever had. Staff lovely and location perfect. Fabulous stay"

"We have stayed with you a number of times over the last 25 years. Also eaten in the Brasserie more often. The room was a little tired didn’t feel the treat I remembered. The staff were fabulous as always. Think some corners are being cut such a shame. We will come again"

"Room was not tidy for 3 people. There was a sofa bed that we opened up and put a sheet on, and thankfully we had a blanket in the car... we had to ask for a towel too. Very good breakfast, good shower, very nice pool. Attentive staff. Proper cleaning."

I was a bit surprised that we wouldn’t meet anyone during our stay, but it all worked out fine. The location is central and easy to find. Both the kitchen and the room were well equipped (iron, ironing board, and hairdryer included), and the bathroom was spacious with basic toiletries 👌 However… there were a few downsides. "The place was excellent! In a great location for walks to Malham Cove. The place was spotless and the food was great. The spa was also great after a day walking. We will definitely be returning!"
