We don’t eat “hotel breakfasts” ( since a nice Denny’s was just down the street) because crowded and noisy. LA Quinta is a chain hotel, nice in its own way, but not as interesting/quirky as a good old mom ‘n pop motel. We stay often, and it’s just okay. Except rude people make a ton of noise early in the morning going down the hallway while we’re still trying...

"Worst hotel experience in my life. When I walked in the lobby there were two cats loudly meowing behind the counter. There were two other families in front of me waiting for their rooms. A fourth family showed up after me. The lady working there took the cats outside and never returned. The only other person working was on a phone call for over 30 minutes trying to figure out if there were any clean rooms left before he finally gave a room to the family who showed up AFTER me - the same double...

"It is a very tired dated property. There is no bar, or restaurant. The room we were given was a bit spooky. It was huge. It was way too large for a handicapped person. It was dark and creepy without a safe chair to sit in. I do not know if all the rooms were like ours, but I doubt it. We felt that since we booked through Expedia, we got a weird room. I would never stay in that room again. It was on the ground floor, and we both felt vulnerable."

"Front desk clerk was nice and helpful. Week before our stay, we received a message that they were no longer offering breakfast. Our TV didn't work but the front desk person came in and at least got it to turn on but the remote would not power it on or off and the volume button didn't work. It had a fridge, microwave and iron that worked fine. The heater and AC did not work and neither did the blow dryer. The bed was OK but the floors had stuff permanently stuck to it. The pool was not operable,...
