"It had snowed a couple of days prior to our arrival. The wooden walkway to the cottage had not been cleaned off. I kicked off most of the snow but it was still not safe for walking on (no rails). The only alternative was a deep muddy step.Fireplace was not working. It took two messages to the owner to get a response and all I was offered was an attempt to see if anyone was in the area to fix it. I never heard from owner again.The home has seen better days. Couch in living room area was saggy....

"Very clean, interesting accommodations in a great location. Our hosts were responsive and attentive. The location is a short jaunt from Bardstown in the heart of Kentucky Bourbon country. The structure itself, inside and out, is interesting. It was stocked with all we needed for our stay."

"This place was nice for a couple night stay. We did notice alot of ladybugs but they didn't bother us too much. The view was awesome of the lake! The hot tub was a nice way to relax after a day on the bourbon trail"

Cabin was cozy but roomy with all the comforts of home, and the property was so tranquil. "Overall a great getaway. Kitchen was well stocked which was much appreciated. The cottage was clean and tastefully decorated. The hot tub was clean as well. The only issue was that the fireplace was not working and wasn't repaired during our stay. It was Thanksgiving weekend though so that probably caused difficulty. We enjoyed our stay."
