"Checked in late at night in the middle of a rainstorm with tornado warnings. Felt good to be dry and inside for the night. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fine, too."

"Overall, this is a really nice and peaceful, cabin. They provide everything you need so you don’t have to rush to the grocery store right when you get there which is so nice. However, the only thing was the downstairs basement has a really loud buzzing noise due to electricity box.. if you’re a person sensitive to sound, it would be really hard to sleep down there."

"The swimming pool setup was awkward from our room had to go across a parking lot and when we first entered the room was a little musty but once we turned on the air the smell went away. All in all very nice. The hotel has invested a lot of money in the outside area. Would definitely recommend and gladly stay there again"

"I am from Madison and always look forward to staying with the Hillside and staff. Everyone is always very nice. Now the building is old so you have to accept some of the blemishes. My recommendation is stay in the winter when all the leaves have fallen and at night you can look down the street and watch the snow fall then go walking down main late at night it’s so peaceful and quite all you hear is the snow falling."
