"This is a basic, no-frills old property that has aged well. The rooms are plain, and nothing but coffee in the office for breakfast. I am a traveler who looks for a clean place to sleep and shower; the frills don't matter. This fits the bill for someone who would rather spend their money on other things than frills in a room they will sleep in and be gone from in 12 hours. In cities, cheap hotels attract an element to stay away from, but that type is not touring the back roads of West Virginia."

"Love the pretty much ski and ski out. Hot tubs were busy but always had availability for sitting pool was nice and warm. They closed promptly at 10pm but staff was reasonable at closure. "

"The room was clean. BUT it took an act of congress to get into the room. I received NO INSTRUCTIONS on how or where to check in. I did a virtual check in, which supposedly gives you this Bluetooth connection to unlock your room door. This worked 25% of the time. It once took me 30 minutes to get into my room because it “could not locate the room.” That’s unacceptable. Finally, went to the other side of the village and was told by someone I could get a normal hotel key card from the service...

"The room was a dated and basic furniture was uncomfortable. Dining options are limited to one restaurant and a coffee shop. There were 2 fire alarms on back-to-back nights and when we went to leave, the parking lot was not plowed "

"We liked it as it suited our basic needs for a bike trip on the Greenbriar. It’s a small cozy place. We made it work for us. Would have liked to know about the microwave ahead of time as the listing nor photos did not show it. We might have planned a few things differently knowing it was there. All in all good. No complaints "

"Loved the decorations in our studio.Pool was lovely,outside pool heated to perfect temp.Easy 5 minute ride to the village.Quiet area at this time of year.They do have a restaurant at Silver Creek but did not stay open late in day."

"Great unit for 2 people. Pictures and descriptions of property is accurate. Host is very responsive. Loved being able to get into unit on arrival and not having to wait till 5pm or after to access unit. Great location. Unit is very clean with well stocked kitchen. Would stay in this unit again."

"The room wasn't terrible, it was serviceable. I'm giving it 1 star for 3 reasons. #1- There was no bedding for the pull out couch. #2- The bathroom vent fan does not work. #3- The locker which was assigned to the room needs the shelf repaired, one side has become separated from the wall. If management reaches out to let me know those issues have been addressed I will re-rate and edit."
