There were also cockroaches outside the whole vicinity of the outside entrance rooms that were near us. The room was clean, no bed bug interaction’s, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast had a great selection and it had more options than anticipated. Check in was smooth and they had great customer service. "

"We stayed in the lodge/motel for two nights, which was a convenient location to Mount Rushmore. We also had dinner at the Powder House Lodge Restaurant and the food and service were great. The place had zero available tables and people waiting, so go early. "

"Hotel is clean. But the Hide a bed is really uncomfortable. I’d go for double queen beds instead of the hide a bed if I were you. Also, disappointing that there is no easy way to call the hotel directly. You get sent through a call service and the person on the phone isn’t even in the state. No phone in the room to call out. "

"We spent a weekend here and wish it had been longer! It's a nicely updated motel, a bit kitschy, clean and comfortable with well thought out details. The bed was super comfortable, even got the name of the brand on my way out (apparently it's a common question). The staff was very friendly, they have cookies and milk from 3:30 - 4:30, and with an indoor and outdoor pool, pickle ball court, games, swings, large chess board and plenty of outdoor places to lounge, it covers the full families...
